Thanks, mrpower33.  I am pretty thrilled about the shape and feel of my chest now.  I am in such sloppy shape from not working out in 2 months though!  There have been times when I felt so accomplished about the rest of my body from my dedication in the gym and kitchen but hated my chest.  It's strange to look now and see that my chest is better than the rest.

The surface scars are my main issue now.  If they can end up like yours I will be very satisfied.  They're still quite red and Dr. Bermant said that I can expect them to stay redder for longer than most people's because of my particular skin/hair coloring.  That's fine as long as they fade in the end.  They are already considerably improved since the 5 week mark, so I just gotta keep being consistent with the massage.  Mrpower33, did you find that most of your surface scar fading happened before or after you stopped wearing the stage 2 vest (after 12 weeks if memory serves)?

And sid, it said a few times that you responded to this thread but when I looked for your response there was none.  Idk what's going on!

Hey, if you don't mind sharing, how many cc's of fat were lipoed out?

Great results thus far... you should be pleased! I'll be having surgery with Dr. B very soon, and seeing how your result came out definitely justifies my decision to go with him. So you haven't done any sort of light workout or cardio? That's the one thing that's been playing on my mind post op... how long it'll take to get back to working out. I've got a nice routine down now, as i've been working out / eating heathy for a few months knowing that i'll have to cease weight lifting for a little while. Guess it really comes down to patience, and giving your body time to heal... Just wanted to know how you are doing with that aspect of recovery?

Thanks for the feedback, UnquestionedAnswers.  I've done a couple of things that were slightly taxing, but no structured exercise of any kind since the surgery.  Like I said in a previous post, I feel great but am waiting until 8 weeks post op to start exercise.  This is just to be 100% safe.  I will have a long time to get my old form back and don't want to risk compromising my surgery's outcome.  Yea, it sucks not working out, and I feel like a slob...but it's only temporary.  Good to hear you're getting surgery from the man himself!  When's your date?

And buyside - I don't remember the exact number of cc's but it was low.  Let me see if I can get an answer for you later.

Yeah, as far as exercising goes - it's probably better to play it safe in this case... which is kind of what i was planning on doing anyway. I'll just try to maintain a proper diet throughout my recovery process. I'm actually scheduled for next weekend, bud... I'll be flying in from across the country to get it done, but to me it's justifiable because i feel like this is something i cannot afford to chance. I, much like you, have a much more mild case to begin with so i want to set myself up for the best (IMO) possible outcome. This site has been a great resource to me and there have been some very informative threads posted (TY again mrpower33!) and i'm sure glad i came across this site early enough before i would have decided to walk into Dr. Schmo's office and get butchered... Anyway, continued success in your healing!

Buyside - he removed 15 cc from the left side, and 20 cc from the right.  He used a good amount of fat to sew fat flaps, to fill in the contour from where the gland was taken.  So a bit of fat was removed, and some other fat was rearranged as part of the overall sculpture.

Unquestioned answers - you'll be glad you made the trip.  There are too many posts on this site about people getting crater deformities, crappy results, hematomas, etc.  Better to be safe and make the extra trip if it's within your means.

Cool, thanks for getting back to me.

I had a similar amount removed by him back in 07.  I've since put on weight and I'm dieting back down so I'm eager (among other things) to see how my chest will ultimately look.  I was just surprised when he told me that considering most, if not all, of the cases I've come across seem to be at least 50 cc per side.

Buyside-

I know what you mean about the numbers.  It was surprising to hear such a low number, but I am extremely pleased with the contour.  My bf% was probably around 12 when I had the surgery.

In another post you said you're unhappy with your chest now because of weight gain.  Do you mind describing how your contour changed with the weight gain, or possibly posting a picture?  I am curious to know more about that issue.

I am happy you are progressing so well.

Remember with my Dynamic Technique, I am targeting gland first. The remaining fat then is used for the contour. The principle is that gland does not move like fat nor compress like fat. Doctors that target the fat first with liposuction tend to dig a hole for remaining gland to sit in. Liposuction of all types will preferentially go after the fat and not the gland. Thin people tend to have very little fat to begin with. What was there, instead of sucking it out, I used it so I could go after the gland instead. That is how I am able to achieve the results on animation and movement you have seen on the site or in the process of evolving after surgery.

On my lean men it is not uncommon for the liposuction volume to be quite low. In some cases it is less than 10 cc's. This is especially true when the contour problem is almost all gland and minimally fat. Check the gland size removed on the patient. That is why I take that picture in the operating room.

Sorry, surgery does not prevent contour changes with weight gain.  Unfortunately, you cannot pick where that fat will come from. Good luck on that weight loss!

Hope this helps,

aaabasillis-

No, they are not erected all the time.  They're just not puffy anymore because Dr. Bermant removed the excess tissue that was pushing the nipple out.  If it gets cold or something stimulates them, they become erect like normal nipples do.

Today is 9 weeks after surgery.  Next weekend I will post some 10 week pictures.  They feel good and the scars are slowly but steadily fading.
