Last November i underwent excision only surgery...as you can see by the pictures i still have puffy nipples, but i know there is scar tissue behind them. Im just wondering if i might see anymore results or do you guys recommend a revision? Also, can you rate it if possible, i would like to know how you guys feel cause it stills makes me really uncomfortable to take my shirt off around friends and such...i just dont know what to do anymore. More surgery just seems like so much more to have to undergo, but i would be willing to do it again if this could be correctable. i dont know for sure if the scar tissue is what is causing the puffiness, but i have heard mixed things about scar tissue and whether or not it actually dissapears, or makes a difference in the end. Also, if it is just scar tissue, wont more scar tissue cause the same problem if i had a revision? Has anyone actually seen a major difference after almost 4 months due to scar tissue deterioration? Ps. im almost 4 months post op, 18, 148 lbs, 6 feet. So rate away

Well it looks like there might have been some left behind.  They still point out so I find it hard to believe that this is purely scar tissue.  I have some scar tissue and it does make my nips look occasionally puffy, though I'm not 100% sure if enough was taken out as well, though my chest looks a lot flatter and doesn't point out at the nips.

DO you feel any toughness behind the nip?  Did you feel this a few days after the surgery as well?

Surgery might be your only hope but you can wait on it if you like, it's up to you.  Your doc should re-do it for free, or for a low price, since it clearly looks like enough wasn't taken out.  It's hard to believe that that is purely scar tissue.

Well primarily after surgery my nipples were flatter then they are now, but not 100% flat... they definatly have swollen out. Im really upset that i might need a revision. I know my PS didnt want to risk craters, but i think her caution has come at my expense. How much longer should i wait before i go to consult possible revisions, i mean so i can see if it is just scar tissue and it changes at all?

hey bro, im 8 months post op, excision only too in good shape. have the EXACT same problem as you. Didnt see any changes after around 1.5 months looks like you will need a revision. Go back and see her asap they didnt take out enough gland it appears. The scar tissue will not be pushing the nips out, its the remaining gland and a little fat.

I plan on bringing up the issue with my PS in a month for my 3-month follow up.
