I’m not actually an official bra wearer yet but I have tried on several dozen bras. I actually had a professional bra fitting the first time I went bra shopping and the other 2 times I just went shopping on my own.

When I tried on bras with the sales associate that did my fitting she brought me all wirefree bras at first. She said an underwire would be too much like a girl bra for me. I told her my doctor suggested I wear an underwire t-shirt bra so she got several for me to try.

I really liked the underwire bras more because they grabbed ahold of my boobs and held them in place better. I put my shirt on over them and I definitely had the silhouette of a woman wearing a bra. I compared with a wire free bra and I looked more saggy and droopy with those bras.

I haven’t gotten the courage to buy any bras yet but I have gone bra shopping 3 times now and I definitely prefer underwire bras. I know it’s strange but I actually think my chest looks better with the cute rounded girly shape from the lift and separation of the underwire bras. When I do actually buy my first bras they are going to be underwire bras.
Yeah, first time fittings they usually go with soft cups. You have to tell them that you like to try underwire for the better support. And from the appearance standpoint, underwire does look better. Underwire is all I wear.

My first fitting the SA tried to sell me on a sports bra. I quickly told her that I needed underwire support and a molded cups to maintain decency. She quickly moved me over to the selection I desired. I was still in Boy-mode back then.

It helps knowing what you want out of a bra before going in. When I go in for a fitting, I already know what I'm planning on buying. I just want my current measurements and try a few on. My last fitting was a couple weeks ago, and after 10 lbs. weight gain, I knew I needed a larger band size. also, sister sizing in the cups to keep things fitting. A quick measurement to confirm the band size and trying on a sister sized bra was a perfect fit. I bought 3.
