There will always be the bigots of every stripe n matter where you go.

If its down near UNM then youll be surprised to the way people hold themselves here.
DT Abq. and Santa Fe are strongly Pride inclusive and and even though I don't participate in the Pride stuff, you may be surprised to the approach taken.

As for the Christian nature, this is a true statement that its a form of bigotry that is truly un-Christian like.

There are other aspects involved, but you will probably not find it here.

And go to Old town for New Mexican Food. (La Placitas Restaurant)
don't go to Sadie's.

Little Anita's is ok, but Bruno's and Los Quartes are closer to original.

I'll check them out!

As for the Christian thing, I have a great friend I met right here on this site that is a Christian Chaplain. We converse all the time about bras, makeup, skirts, blouses and dresses. We even compare beliefs between our faiths (I'm Jewish). There is no calling out to "burn in hell", or "you are sinning!"

It seems there are great differences between denominations within the Christian faith, and some are very conservative and strict.

The very strict ones tend to be the bigots that cause strife.

... we were both told that conversations about "boobies" are not permitted since this is a Christian establishment.
I'd have answered: What do you recommend then? That all Christians, regardless of sex, should get a preventive bilateral mastectomy that nobody is tempted to talk about them?
A bra is just an article of clothing for people with breasts.

Folks with strict 'Puritan beliefs ' just have a really hard time 'thinking outside of the box' I guess.

From JAG: "The very strict ones tend to be the bigots that cause strife."
True regarding every belief system.  In sharia-ville you'd be at risk of assisted diving off a roof.  Yeah, they are bigots.

However, it's easy to label people who disagree with you as a "bigot" simply because they disagree.  Strict Orthodox Jews, devout Christians, devout Mormons, and devout Jehovah's Witnesses all maintain what is now called 'binary' opinions about sexuality.  Doesn't mean they're bigots.  Bigots kill those they disagree with.  And there are plenty of 'non-binary' people who are viciously bigoted, and who have - in fact - murdered innocent people (including children) because those victims were deemed to be in disagreement with the 'non-binary' perspective.  Those who don't know about gynecomastia, for example, simply don't know about it.  Doesn't make them bigots - in fact most contributors here were unaware of gyno at first.  We weren't bigots.  Were we?

I’d agree. I know several people who are firmly in disagreement with things and I’d find it hard to consider them anywhere near a line of bigot. That word or similar words with same definition are thrown around so loosely now and it’s a shame. I feel there’d be more understanding if we helped those to understand rather feel dismissed and butt heads.
I’d say almost everyone in my circle of people would consider it outlandishly odd and questionable at best as to why I wear bras. Even more so if they knew I wear panties as well. If I told them I was non binary they’d probably laugh as at 40 almost, non binary seems like a 25 and under thing. But I don’t see anyone who disagrees with me as a bigot just unaware. And if they choose to be unaware or unaccepting, particularly due to religious beliefs, that’s understood and fine to me.
People of all religions follow their holy book, not moral compass, as much as if and we’d like it all to be the same it is a fine line to those who devoutly follow.
You can know in your heart something is not right, but if you are devout and study, follow and lead with your holy book of choosing and that says it’s wrong. Well, it’s more so what’s in the book rather than what’s in the heart. I see it as no different from when a judge says anything along lines of while defendant is a b c, truth is per d vs e of 1973 they were in clear violation of x y z.
It took me a long time to realize that fact, while many use their book to protect their bigotry. Many also are called bigots just cause they follow what their book says. It doesn’t make them a bigot. Just makes them devout. The difference to me is are you treating those you disagree with with hostility or compassion. Dismissing them or saying I disagree but still love you.

I suspect many of us could be pigeonhole as non-binary because of our physical feminine attributes. But I suspect it takes more than breasts to be non-binary. People will think what they will think. We can only live our lives.

I’d say so. Many men have breasts. Albeit perhaps not as dense or shaped as some of ours that qualify as feminine rather than moobs. But even so I’d imagine most align entirely with the ideology of male persona and interests and so forth. Whereas some of us have adapted and adopted to being ok with being more feminine in shape or enjoying feminine fashions or habits and calling our attributes breasts and wearing bras where others may still call theirs a chest and go unsupported trying to “man up”.
Non binary I’d definitely say comes with more toward the identity rather than the physical
