Hyd has some good hospitals, go for consult with a plastic surgeon in Apollo, NIMS etc, you will have to find a surgeon that suits your pocket, but consulting a famous surgeon will help you get an idea. get yourself a plan to find a surgeon by september end. complete all blood tests in time, you will do good. by the way post your pre op pics, will help you track ur progress.

most of the people are overwhelmed with this whole surgery thing, but actually this is a very simple procedure for the plastic surgeon. dont stress yourself too much.
Life is too short to waste it on gynecomastia!!

cheers

NIMS is govt hospital i doubt it has  plastic surgeon at all...
i thought if some one round here in the forum who has got his operation done in Hyderabad..will suggest me
which is the best place in HYD. Finding a surgeon myself,i think would take long time ,i hardly know any one who has got it done in Hyderabad. Even by goggling i couldn't find any info.  ???

only option left is Apollo...

Hi, can anyone tell me, do you need anybody with you for the Operation? As I want to do it secretly on my own in Chennai.

So, who will be the best PS? Any suggestion?

Thanks

Hi man,
yeah its been a long time. I have the cash ready(50k max), have to get the surgery done this month. Have'nt decided on the surgeon yet. I did consult Dr.K.J Shetty last week, he said everything is fine. He asked me to meet Dr.Anantheshwar, but could'nt meet due to shortage of cash that day for the consultation. I will consult 2-3 surgeons this week, will decide in the next 10 days.
btw, how are you doing lately? Are you still wearing the vest?

Yeh i m wearing compression vest, Doc said wear it for 6 months, actually i m very comfortable with it now, it feels odd when i take it off. occasional miss (to wear vest) is okay now. Also big news i want to share with all you people, i joined Gym last week, It feels so  great, i went steam bathing, treadmill .... I have never felt better. I feels amazing !!! :) And i hope every one here makes it...

problem man, My suggestion is dont think too much abt your PS, (since you already know who are the good PS is in Bangalore) Just go for one consult and pick a date for surgery. Please don't postpone. Believe me once you are done, you would have a feeling - " I should have done this before" I too have it.

You will sail thru problem man, Kick Gyne out of your life !!!

Ciao

Hi

I m 22yo and in college...in gujarat...still living with my parents and extended family.  I have had gyne since puberty and it has been a nightmare ever since.  i want to have gyne surgery, but dont really have the guts to say anything to my parents as they r very strict.  rather, i m really embarrased to tell them.  'boobs' are just not something i can talk to my elders about.  even if i do tell them, then what abt my uncles, aunts, cousins ??? they would find out too! maybe u guys can understand my situation.  i hope u guys can perhaps offer some guidance as well.  how were you able to tell your family abt your gyne and that u wanted to have surgery?

Thanks

Hello Brother:

"Brother" as I am also from Gujarat but now in Canada. I totally respect your feeling and understand pain you are going through while specially in University. I was been to same situation. And had my worst days in University where I was in hostel. And you know the ragging.

while in India, I never had a clue that this problem is very common in man. I was under impression that it's only me (aas I never seen anyone with boobs). But as revolution of Internet made life so easy (hope, we had 15 yrs ago). I had my surgery dome in Toronto last year. It's pretty simple. Even that time also, I never had guts to imform my parents. I had a surgery when they were out of Canada. Till date they don't know (may be they reliased the change in my attire !!!). Well, that said, why don't you consult just by your self to the specialist? Why you need to ask your parent? Is there a cash problem for surgery make you to ask your parents? I think if that's the case, you should ask help from your "BEST" friends who can understand your feelings. I think friend will understand bettter than parents.

Buddy, best advise is, just check with specialistt first. What he thnks about your case? And will surgery make you different? If yes, defiently go for it. Don't ruin your life just waiting for an opporutnity as I did. Lost best of my college years with firends and girfriends due to "boob" complex. So go for it, done with it and enjoy the rest of life "gyne" free.

You can send me personal message as well, if you need any more help.
Surgery done on Sept 6th, 2006 with Dr. Fielding - Toronto. Not 100% cured but will get there for sure !!!

thanks for the reply "give me life."  however, in my situation, i live in small town w/ my extended family. so, its very difficult to do anything without my family finding out.  i really have no choice other than telling my parents, but am very embarrassed to talk to them about it.  do you have any suggestion as to how i should approach them abt this matter??

  • Going ahead on path of bare chest dream!
Hey Brothers!!!

One more guy from Gujarat! I have already undergone the surgery without notice of my family at all, reason being I am working in Bangalore far away from the home town!!! But... does we gujju guys have curse upon us being involved in this scandle by malfunctioning of genes???

Anyways, the best thing is that find out who is your best friend among whole family. Explain him thorough situation. Visit the nearest doctor with that person to explain & understand the impact of the surgery. This board gives you enough information about doctors. When your family friend is with you, both of you can have a reason to tell that for some picnic you are going in that town. Ask your family friend to explain to your father / mother rather you explaining the consequences. If possible, take them to doctor who very well can explain them the situation. I hope that they understand properly based on doctor's advise. If they dont... then only thing you can do is REBEL. I know I am taking you on the wrong path but see... it is your life and nobody can control your life. If there is a good solution adopted by so many people over this board, why YOU cannot go for it. Gyne is curse and it has given lot of problems through out the days which we could have enjoyed the best - though you are never gonna get back those days, you cannot waste the coming days, dude.

Just do it dude... Be a man. Release yourselves from all worries & tensions caused by gyne & surgery is the ONLY option. That's what I can advise you.
Thanks,
Say "No" to Gyne

  • Seize the day! Be free of your burden...
Hi all. Just wanted to introduce myself with my first post.

I'm currently a little over 4 weeks post-op... had my surgery done in Chandigarh. I flew from California all the way to Mumbai and then took a day-long train up to CHD just for the surgeries. It was quite an experience. I want to help answer questions for anyone interested.
Triple Surgery done in Chandigarh, India (Jan 10, 2008):
1. Gynecomastia Surgery (simultaneously with #2)
2. Tonsillectomy
3. Septoplasty (5 days after #1 and 2)

3 lifelong problems wiped out in a flash of knives... Now recovering and excited beyond belief. :)
