Hi there folks, not been on here for a while. I am going back to see a plastic surgeon in June. I saw him 3 months ago about my gyno. He suggested i went on testosterone even though he didnt do any blood tests or anything to see my homone levels. I read up about it and decided not too as it sounded like a bad idea :'( He also said that it would probably be a bad idea to operate on it again as it may cause my nipple to shrivle up ??? i am going to ask why he cant operate from my arm pit or closer to it as this seems like a much better idea and surely cant be much harder to do. I have a question. If i do have another op should the whole gland be removed? When i had it removed before i didnt have any blood rests either? I did a while ago but the doctor was crap and just said i was ok but didnt tell me if they were a bit out etc.It wasnt last time and grew back after a few months. I have grown to hate it again and just want to look normal. I am 6'2 and skinny with hardly any muscles. I cannot put weight on?

Never before have I asked to see photos, but this time I think it best to have a good look prior to commenting.

I  will try and get a photo up tonight of it, its not bad compared to some i have seen on here but as i am thin it sticks out and is obvious, its more the puffyness that bothers me if im with my girlfriend or swimming, climbing etc.

oh, photobucket has deleted the side on one, you cant see well in this photo, my nipple is really puffy, i have a glandular lump. It hurts quite often. I previously had it removed only for it to come back about 6 months later, on the same side, so something is obviously wrong! :'(

I think i will cancel the appointment and ask my doctor if i can see an endocrynologist. The surgeon was a bit of a twat to be honest, so was the surgeon before that removed it before. Didnt really seem bothered with helping me, like it was nothing to worry about.

Might be an untreated underlying cause. Any doctor that would do the surgery without blood test first may not know what they are doing. Or may know exactly maybe just maybe he knew. I might be paranoid, but this is for sure if he is giving you testosterone without testing first he is incompetent and giving you surgery without attempting to discover if there is an underlying cause is irresponsible. I would see an endocrinologist or at least see another doctor. It looks like the some of the people on this website know more about the issue than your doctor does. :(

i agree run from that doc don't walk

The only thing that I see that is troublesome is the lack of hair. Perhaps you should be seeing an Endocrinologist.

Unequal size, extra or "supernumerary" nipples, and most of the other things you described are all fairly common.

Even people we usually perceive as being very good looking will have features that are unequal left to right and a facial centerline that is far from straight.

Yeah my left side has hardly any hair, the right still not much but more than the left, i cancelled my appointment with Dr Dodgy, got a doctor's appointment tomorrow to try see an endocrynologist. Fingers crossed things get rolling. I know there are a lot worse cases than mine but its been over 10 years i have had it, had it removed and its come back so i would like to finally have it gone!!

sometimes it's good to just post the link and copy it, some places don't like linking from offsite, and a few of them will even treat gyne pics like porn and pull them as objectionable.
* a man is more than a body will ever tell
* if it screws up your life the same, is there really any such thing as "mild" gyne?

for us it's medical information for discussion.  for angel_allen or blatino...and web hosts treat it that way...you get the idea.
