Has anyone else ever had a DR that offered that if so. did you use it

Many PS's have made arrangements with credit institutions to 'discretely' aid you with your surgical fees.

If credit is your only option, then go for it my man. Keep in mind that the interest rate will be that of most credit card companies.... or more. Make sure you inquire what the interest rate on your loan will be. If it's too high, shop around....  ;)

Sorry, GP, I disagree with you.  I offer Care Credit and Capital One financing in my office and their rates are about 1/2 of usual credit card rates.  Obviously, the rates vary with the credit worthiness of the person, the amount of the loan and how long the term to pay it off.

You are also able to apply for these loans in complete privacy -- usually directly over the phone or by email.

What's nice about these financing options is that they know it is for elective surgery and that poses no problem.  Try going to a bank and asking for a personal loan so you can have elective surgery.  You will be whisked out the door fast!
