About 12 years ago, My wife was scheduled to have knee replacement surgery. Everything had been done to the point where the Anesthesiologist was at her bedside. At that late date, she backed out. Surgeons deal with such cases from time to time.

The hesitation may be in making the initial appointment or at any point after that. But when you are ready you'll get it done.

Two years after the above event, my sweetheart had the surgery. The result was so good that there was no hesitation when it came time to do the other knee.

Hesitation, reluctance, even fear are not uncommon prior to surgery. When you are ready, and only then, You'll go ahead.

Some people simply don't go there. They adapt to their situation and simply get on with their lives. It is not beyond possibility that you may be one of them.

We are not all destined to a prescribed course of action, we each do what is right for us. It is a very personal decision. If there are doubts, wait a spell, eventually you will know what is right for you and you'll do it.

Dude...

I just called Dr. Pope's office and I spoke with a woman named Donna. She said that you have to call yourself as she needs some information from you. Sorry dude... I tried.

Dude you're just gonna have to suck-it-up and make the call...  Donna seems like a nice lady... call her and Git'er Done!

I still remember making the call, almost more vividly than the surgery itself. My heart was pounding as I made it. Something about sharing the shame about your gyne with a complete stranger. It is tough, but you will be glad you did it.

I'm an idiot. I called and said I have the wrong number this is like despairing as hell, and I know they won't even be shocked or "OMG" or anything.
you know you're not the first chicken-out they've had, they probably get a couple a week.  a year from now you'll remember this and won't stop laughing  :)

scared is NORMAL.

it will also be much easier once you make the call, because you'll realize it wasn't that bad.  the next steps are scary too, but less so once you realize you had what it took to put one foot forward and now you know how to do the next one.

do it, dude.  this is how you kick gyne's a$$.

* a man is more than a body will ever tell
* if it screws up your life the same, is there really any such thing as "mild" gyne?

We're all scared our first time. And sometimes mistakes happen which causes crying and embarassment right after. Sometimes your done sooner than expected and want to go back to fix the problem but just can't because it's too late and you would have to wait for the next available time and mood. And if the time comes try using your tounge, wait, we're talking about consultations right? Wrong thread...

Just kidding, how'd it go? Did you schedule a surgery date?
If you have gyne, dont expect not be laughed at.

Just like if you walk into a locker room, you're gonna see some hairy asses and dicks.

Unfortunately for me, both have occured in my life way too many times.
