Nice tell us how the consultation went.
If you have gyne, dont expect not be laughed at.

Just like if you walk into a locker room, you're gonna see some hairy asses and dicks.

Unfortunately for me, both have occured in my life way too many times.

I'm 18 and I decided to get this done. It was hard for me to call for the consultation, but they made it pretty easy for me. They acted like this was an everyday thing which it was for them sort of. Anyway, they didn't see me as a freak or anything so that was really comforting. I got the surgery done on Friday, which was a few days ago. Recovery is the real hard part though. Wearing this compression thing and walking around and stuff, just seems so limiting. I don't want to be confined in my house, but that's how it is for the next month. It'll only get better from next month on.

I was scared too when I called, but I didn't really hesitate, I called then the receptionist is like what are we seeing u for, I'm like ahhh, I jst want to see the doctor, then she is like yeah but we need to know what we r seeing you for, so I'm like "gynomastia" then she corrects me, you mean gynecomastia?, I'm like yeah. Funny experience  ;D

Damn though mines taking almost a month to see the doctor.

Yeah, i can relate to the fear of scheduling the first consultation, and also to the time i had to wait, i think it was a month too. I had it yesterday and if i'm lucky i would be getting the surgery somewhere between this month, if not it would be in october, since the dr is going on trip for the whole september. Hey but let me tell you that the next step is pretty scary too, at least for me. I have to get a breast ecography, im doing it tomorrow! The worst part is that the ecographist is a female and the receptionist too, and she is damn fine  :o... lol, why do they have to make it so hard for us guys with gyne... ;)

So yea I had my consultation and was told that I would need a revision because of excess skin, but i'm not all to sure about that. Now I guess I move onto scheduling, and then all the stuff inbetween and yea.. what exactly is involved inbetween? lol

Congrats, man.

I still remember making that call. It was so hard at first because it sounded so weird to even say the word "Gynecomastia" out loud. I had it for 10 years and that might have been the first time I EVER even said it. Why would I have? I never talked to anyone about it or told them I had it.. and even when I finally shared with my father what I'd been dealing with so I don't think I even used the word then. When I called for my consultation, she asked what I was coming in for and it felt so unnatural to finally say it.

However, once you finally make the call.. you're officially taking your first step on the road to a gyne free life and that's the best part. I smile every time I think about how smart the decision was for me to actually pick up my phone and DO something about getting rid of something I kept putting off and regretting it for years and years.
