would you gamble to get the money quicker?

as i am not working at the moment i cant see a way of getting the £4000 i need for surgery any time soon.
i have about £400-£500 at the moment so a long way off. do you think it would be worth risking this money gambling on a horse, for example, to get the money quicker?

has anybody ever tried this to raise the money?

I Personally tried this option and lost alot of money which was ment to be for my surgery i would of had the money by now if i didnt,
You win some you lose some, i ended up loosing the lot.
At the end of the day its your choice but i wouldnt recomend it.
The bookmakers always win in the end

The thing is, if this was really a solution, then it would work for everything and everyone yeah?  No one would have money problems, how great would that be!  It's called gambling for a reason man.

As the others have mentioned, 'Gambling' is not the answer my friend...

You may win a few, however, as Grandpa Dan mentioned, the odds are against you. You will only loose in the end. Then you will gamble more in an effort to win back the money you lost... It's a vicious cycle...
