How long to wear compression garment?

Hey, wast just wondering how long u got to wear the vest and/or the bandage wraped around the body after surgery if the healing is good? Looks like guys who have excision or a excision with a light lipo only have small swellings and bruises. In those cases is it necessary to wear vests and such for more than 1-2 weeks? And for u guys who have worn the vests, can u hide it under a t-shirt or do need a sweater?

i had light lipo/excision and i had to wear mine a full 6 weeks, but my {S was really cautious and i've heard much lesser times with other PS's

I wore mine for about 3 1/2 weeks.  Since I had almost no swelling (Dr. Bermant) there was no need for me to wear it any longer.
