I did my surgery 4 days ago, only tissue removal this time.

I have tried to contact my surgeon but thats impossible since i had a general one.He told me all information I needed but I do not remember anything since i was ill and had pain. And now noone want to help me!

My problem is, my surgeon said something after the surgery and gave me this tape:

It is very thin it stands micropore on it and it is the same kind of tape which is on the nipples, you can see here:

I also had drains for 1 day, they where put in from my liposuction scar(8 months old). Now there is a plaster on it as you can see. There is a very litte sore there like 2x2mm hole without stiches. See here:

And for 4 weeks i am going to wear this bandage over everything:

I am very confused about what i should do. Should i remove the plasters and put some tape on the hole or what shall i do? The stitches on the nipple will go away automatically, but when should i remove/change the tape on?

Please doctor and every user, someone help me. What do you recommend me to do? I really need your answers!!

Each surgeon has his / her own techniques and after care methods.

In my opinion, patient education is critical for a good outcome and you need to immediately contact your doctor for appropriate details. Right after surgery patients normally do not remember much, it is a function of the anesthesia medications. That is why for my patients, such education starts the before surgery, continues after surgery and during recovery. Immediately in the recovery room, any changes in the education needs to be explained to the responsible person managing you during the early recovery. I then continue that education once the patient regains their ability to remember. Education is also best served by repetition.

Posting questions here instead of calling your surgeon may be a serious mistake. I encourage my patients to call me immediately if they had such questions. However, with my repetitious education, their calls after hours are few and far in between.

Hope this helps,

But please, i really need answers. I did not have a private surgeon and it is really hard to contact her now. They keep saying i have got information and nurses says that i have very odd question which they all answer in different way and saying they are unsure. They dont even give me her phone number, to surgeon, because they are all very very busy. At the end they got mad, and told me they have serious cases like cancer tumors and told me to not call anymore etc ... Please give me some advices.

Your surgeon, having performed surgery on you, has a duty to be responsive to your questions and concerns.  Your situation is just as important as other patients with other problems.

You should go up the chain of command until you finally received appropriate attention from your surgeon.
