This is more general fitness related, but it does tie in with the gyne, I am saving for surgery but it can't hurt to get in shape in the mean time as it's going to be a while before I can afford the op.
I want to get fit, I need to get fit, I have every reason to get fit and toned, but I don't?
I joined a gym, £40 a month, I haven't been for 2 months. I have a £200 mountain bike but last time I rode was 2 weeks ago. I have a garage with a punch bag and a weight bench and I do know different exercises to do etc but I just can't get motivated to do it, despite the fact I really want to change physically.
I eat badly and don't drink enough water, I have insomnia due to depression and probably the bad diet and lack of exercise. I think this is the cause of my problems, as I am tired all the time. I am now taking sleeping tablets, double dosage does help me sleep and for the past few nights I've had a decent amount of sleep. I don't feel much better for it yet, but I'm going to keep with it trying to get at least 7 hours a night. I am also trying to drink more water (well, with some squash in as I don't like plain water) I am drinking less fizzy drinks and this past week I've not eaten /as much/ junk as usual, work lunches are my downfall as I'll spend £6/7 a day on rubbish, expensive and bad.
I also am starting to think I am addicted to the internet, it sounds a bit sad, but I think I am? No not porn
just general use, forums and ebay. Often I'll sit here waiting for someone to sign on MSN or waiting for posts on a forum. I'm in such a bad routine, get home from work, sign on net, eat dinner at pc, sign off net, go to bed.
Has anyone had this sort of problem, if so how is best to get around it?
Any advice on motivation would be great, although I know its only me that can make the difference.
I am hoping that a few weeks of 7+ hours of sleep a night, more water daily and a slightly improved diet will improve things a lot.
I am also considering cycling to work a few days per week, but I have to be there for 7am and I struggle to get there in time when driving, let alone cycling. I work on the tools in a trade, I am on my feet all day, lifting, working etc.. to be honest I can't understand why I am fat, my diet isn't amazingly bad compared to how much time I spend on my feet during the day
