if you don't bother to massage post op will the scar tissue just remain longer?  or does it mean the scar tissue won't go at all?

Hmmm. that really IS a big help but im still not sure weather to massage or not! lol

massage is a very important thing to do.
i massaged after 2 weeks and i had lipo and exc

I would say .. if in doubt about massage ... ask your surgeon.  Mr Levick told me to start massaging after my 1 month post op check up.  In my case it was worthwhile although it took some time to have effect and I did overdo it for a while and made things worse.
