hello doctors,

i would like to know about the massages...how it should be done and when...things like that..i am now 6 weeks post op and there is swelling on both sides...slightly larger on my right side...i had bigger gyno on my right..when asked about it to my surgeon,he said its because that the right side being bigger he had to apply more trauma to that region...any reply would be really helpful

You should speak with your surgeon about how he recommends that you massage the area.  I have my patients massage fairly vigorously, especially 6 weeks out from the surgery, depending on the need for massage.  It becomes more important to avoid any tethering of the overlying skin to deeper tissue, and it can help with resolution of swelling.
