its been 4 days now since surgery and i have a question?

i can pee a whole lot.. but number 2 is not coming. should i be worried about this. I mean i havent gone to the bathroom in like 3 -4 days...Im takin the pills they gave me including stool softner ... but doesnt seem to work anyone else have this problem?

Hi,

Yes I believe this could be a side effect of some of the painkillers we are given after surgery. It happened to me and several others and it is not a very pleasant sensation, but it did pass (no pun intended).

I found when I stopped taking the Co-codamol and switched to paracetamol, everything returned to normal.

If you are unduly worried have a chat with your doctor.

It's just the pain killers, I wouldn't worry.

You will be fine bro. I had the same problem, I could not do a #2 at all, it was quite difficult. The first day I could not pee either.
