Medical tests b4 gyne.. @ HYD

I am in touch with Dr.MOhan from Appollo Chennai.
He asked me to get these tests done

1.  CBC
2.  Prothrombin Time
3,  Free T4
4.   T.S.H.
5.  Urine Routine
6.  X. Ray Chest  P.A. view
7.  ECG
 8.   Blood Pressure

I am from Hyderabad.

Where can i get these tests done in hyderabad?
Which is the best place to get these done in hyd??

You can do them at any diagnostic laboratory. Preferably from a reputed labnoratory...maybe Apollo Hyderabad as well yeah. The only condition is you need to do this test max 7 days before the intended surgery. Otherwise doctor may ask tyou to repeat them again in chennai. Double cost uselessly.

I wonder howcome they are not asking for HIV 1 and 2  RApid test and HBsAG Rapid test (electrochemiluminicence) the latest test equivalent to elisa and quicker.

Exactly. Yes this is because bio-chemical changes can occur to your body over a period of more than 7 days.

So the tests should be close to the surgery day.

Example: If you give blood sample today....the test reports will be ready by tomorrow. surgery should follow within 5- 7 days of the report date. Else docors will ask you  repeat it and charge you again.

and regd the HIV/ HBsAg test.......so that you dont infect the hospitals equipment. Every responsible hospital will make you do it. they took my consent and counselling before they did it :-) . anyway if they didnt ask you for it then why bother?

and do i need to stay in lab for entire for these tests?? how much time do they take??

Give the blood samples in the morning, and collect the test results in the evening.
