All good thanks Danny. Taking the vest off for a few minutes and getting in the shower has been the highlight of my day ;D

No bleeding as far as I can tell. I haven't changed the plasters since the first day though - we keep these on for 7 days right? I have some bruising below my chest but not as much as I was expecting.

Got itchy nips too - don't know if it's re-growth or the incisions healing. Need to scratch, can't scratch.... aaahhhhh!  :D

Dr K got rid of my gyne Jan 2009. Thank f@ck for that!

Consultation £75
OP £4118 plus another £125 for blood tests.

Not cheap, but I reckon it's worth every penny

I know its far to itchy but it will be all worth it in the end  :D. I have changed my plasters to the water proof ones however they aren't that great. I just want to make sure everything stays clean and doesnt get infected thats my concerns. Everything seems to be healing very well at the moment. I even got a call off the man himself last night asking how i was doing which was a nice suprise and he reassured me it would be healing fine.

cheers

Q for Enuff & DANNY d

I would be staying the night in London after the procedure, do you think I would be fit enough for 5 hours on the train the following day? May even consider 1st class coming back just to get a bit of peace and quiet. So do you think you would have felt up to it????????

SoX - price as Jock says and definitely worth every penny!

Jock - I was a day case and managed the tube then a 1 hour train ride. It was pretty stressful though and I wouldn't recommend it. I would plan on getting a taxi from the hospital to wherever you are staying (hotel?) You will be fine for the train journey the following day. First class would be good so you don't have to fight for a seat and you probably won't have anyone sitting next to you!  8) You going to have someone with you?

Also, I stayed up in London the night before as I needed to be at the hospital at 7am. Used booking.com and stayed at the Best Western Paddington for £75. Pretty basic but did the job and easy to get to St Johns.

Danny - got a call too. Wasn't expecting it but very nice of him. Another good day today. The odd ache, itch or twinge every now and then but nothing apart from that...... How you getting on?

Thanks, would have my wife with me, and would be down the night before, but good to know I'd be fit for the train. I've been looking at the travellodge at a few locations and the price varies from £40 upwards. I posted the question on G talk about my pm and a couple of docs both said that my pm should not be a problem. Here's hoping they get the reply sorted out asap as I am keen to get a date planned.

Hi Danny

I think we keep these plasters on for 7 days. I'm planning on whipping 'em off Thursday night - can't wait man! Assuming all incisions are healed up I guess that's it for the plasters?!

Yep - got the sweaty pits too  ;D What's that about? Still got some bruising below my chest but very little swelling. Movement is better each day for me too.

It still makes me giggle when I take the vest of and look at my flat chest. I love it! I wouldn't worry about any symmetry issues dude - it's still very early days and each side will be healing differently.

Hi SoX, for me it was seven weeks between consultation and op. I believe there are quicker appointments if you take the afternoon slots but that means an overnight in the hospital and an extra c.£500.
If you wanted to wait longer to sort the money out then I can't see there being a problem in you not taking the first date available. I'm sure you could schedule for a few months down the line.
