How long should wear the vest?

I only wore my vest for 7 days

people wearing the vest for 2weeks+, why? The body has to heal and wearing a compression vest isnt going to stop you from getting swelling and scar tissue. The body has to heal itself you cant just bypass it by applying pressure. I think people just wear it as a little bit of extra comfort personally!

Surgery methods differ from surgeon to surgeon. Ask your surgeon what period he says and do exactly what he advises you to!

If you take arnica, eat healthily and massage the area once the swellings gone down your not going to go wrong. Your not going to do any harm in wearing it longer than the week but it really isnt worth it youd do yourself much better eating a balanced diet

Stage 1 has velcro along the shoulders and has hooks all along the front.  The Stage 2 is just like a really think undershirt, it doesn't have any hooks or velcro.

I can't speak for other people, but I think it really helps.  The scar line feels softer after I wear it and the compression really feels like it gives me extra support for the swollen tissue.  It would have been uncomfortable without it for the first 8 weeks or so I would say.  I'm just going to go another 4-5 weeks to be extra safe.

I have my surgery tomorrow.  My dr just told me to wrap it. Do you definitely suggest the vest?
