hey guys i have lost loads of weight and the gyne is almost gone. i know have a rounded chest and slightly puffy nips. i could so live with this but it looks disproportionate as i have really weedy arms. how can i build my arms. i do press ups everyday, but i do 3 sets of 60 quit fast ones.

i dont really want to go to the gym, and i am looking for a way to get big arms at home. any ideas. ps i have low t so it is really difficult for me to build muscle. many thanks

Go to a gym

if you do not want to go to a gym, buy some weights and lift at home.  For arms (biceps) curls are best.

to grow eat alot of good food focus on high protein intake and if you must eat carbs eat good ones (sweet potatoes, brown rice, etc)

do a lot of tricep work too (not just bicep curls) since triceps form a 'larger' part of your arm.  ie.  most people consider bicep to be the dominant arm muscle - which I believe isn't the case at all.

look online for tricep & bicep exercises using dumbells, (their descriptions would be better than mine) and buy some dumbells of a suitable weight, and then go nuts at home.

It might be hard though to get dumbells that can satisfy both your bicep and tricep needs however unless you buy a whole set.

and yes, diet will probably determine 90% of your success, so eat properly!  research is key.

Agree with the others. I'd say buy an adjustable bench (the one where you can be in a laying down position, or sitting upright position) and get some dumbells and maybe even a barbell. You could probably get everything I mentioned for under $100. (More dumbells = more $$.)

Academy sports has really good deals on weights and stuff.

Dumbell curls for biceps...tricep press with the barbell REALLY hits the tri's.

If you're not genetically predisposed when it comes to building muscle, then chances are you will have to work harder to do so.  It is very possible to build muscle if you are what is categorized as ectomorph (skinny individuals who lose weight quickly but have trouble gaining it).  

Diet is the key.  I've read enough on the subject but I'm still no expert.  Increasing your carb and protein intake will help but just type in the word ectomorph and diet into a search engine and you should get a lot of information.  I'm assuming this is why you haven't gained muscle.  I've recently got back into weights (I would lift from time to time but never really packed on muscle).  I changed up my diet and now I'm showing noticeable gains(and no, I'm not taking steroids).  Diet is the key.

Also, the tricep is the bigger muscle but because this muscle is not as noticeable to the weightlifter, it doesn't get the workout it needs.  Work the triceps hard.  It will bring out your arms.  

As for a home gym; I've been through 3 in my lifetime.  Start with a barbell and curling bar.  Go to Wal-Mart and buy yourself some weights.  I don't know how much you can bench or curl but buy at the very least as much weight as you can bench.    Buy yourself a workout bench with the leg extension.  I also have a chin up bar at home ($19.99) at the Fitness Depot and it has worked wonders for my arms.  If money is an issue, hit a few garage sales.  You're bound to find something there.

awesome thanks for all the help.

to lose weight i actually eat a very low carb diet. i eat a healthy Gi diet, without startcha nd sugar but loads of veg and fruit. is this going to be a proble in tyring to build muscle. also are doing pressups at home fairly useless as it hasnt doen much so far.

Protein builds muscle, not fruits and veggies.  Plus, building muscle and losing weight is not the smartest way to try and add mass to your body.  Lay off the diet but eat sensibly (increase your caloric intake as well) and consume a lot of protein.  Protein powder is great for those in between meals but skinless chicken breast, tuna, fish are a great source of protein for those main meals.  You have to eat big to get big (muscularly).  Lift weights as well because that's where you want the food to go, to your starving and rebuilding muscles.
