general surgery Q

i was wondering if i am the 2nd one to be operated, is it likely the doc is tired? it seems my surgery is scheduled @ 11AM and i am afraid being the 2nd patient to be operated on that day, would my doc be tired?

i am havin lipo on my abdominal/flanks area.... any thoughts?

Most surgeons thrive on several operations a day.  I wouldn't be concerned.

If you were the tenth patient on the surgeon's schedule, and were first going in for surgery at 7pm, then I would be concerned.

Aye that's a good question man!  I'm soooo glad I went first on my surgery day!  I had to be there for 6:30am and got started at 7:30am!!

Actually I was calm!! I was soooo ready to get that shit cut off/out of me I didn't care or even think about anything happening to me cause at the point i was ready die (not forreal but you kno what i mean) to anyway!!!

thats a good point but i doubt it makes a difference, think about it like this, what happens if the doc isnt a morning person or had a long night with his wife the night before and is tired first thing in the morning, regardless i dont think a good surgeon will be that irresponsible

oh ya and think about this, i had never met my surgeon or seen him, i called up the place asked for a price, sending in a picture through email to the surgeon, told me 4100, so i took the bus in the next day and paid cashed. The surgeon had no clue what my chest looked like until he met me minutes before surgery, and the surgery was mid day, and the result was excellent 2 years later, best descion ive ever made, the first 6 months are rough but gets better every day after

I has surgery yesterday and was first in. Funny this question because I was thinking what if he hasn't woken up yet.

Also just over a year ago I had brain surgery and was in at 5pm. The doc was like you're my 5th of the day. At that time I was panicking he was going to be tired.

Bottom line is there is always reasons to worry. I think quite simply. I hated my chest for the last god knows how many years. The doc removes some fat, some gyne. It has to be better right? Nerves are normal. I always ask myself:

"What would you do if you weren't afraid?". Go with that answer.
