Im about a month post opt.  I have some stubborn swelling left.  I know the doc said be patient, but do any of yall know if a heat pad can be used for swelling? I know heat brings blood to the surface.  Any input will be helpful.  Thanks

Would definitely not use a heating pad.  After surgery, you have diminished feeling in the skin -- and if you used a heating pad, you might not feel a burn injury in the making!  Also, heat can be used at the beginning of an injury -- but not at this time.  Actually, neither heat nor cold will much affect the swelling that you have now.  I would strongly recommend continuing to wear a snug compression garment -- that will do the best job on your swelling.
