Surgery recovery question.

I had my gyno surgery about almost two weeks ago and I'm wondering if anyone has advice on when I'll be able to use my arms again. I'm painting a house this summer and tried doing a little work on it today, but had to quit after an hour cause my chest was just too sore...

I had full use of my arms after about 5 weeks.  However, I had fat sewn to fat to fill in the space left by a pretty good volume of excised gland.  Something like that will add a bit of time to someone's recovery.

Some people on this site say they feel great after a couple of weeks, others take much longer.  I'd recommend waiting until you can move your arms all the way up and all the way back without pain before you do anything strenuous.  If something hurts, it might compromise your outcome.  You wouldn't want to ruin your new chest because you couldn't wait a few extra weeks to paint!
