It's been 6 days since surgery. I had the drains taken out yesterday and finally got a look at my new chest.

I gotta say, this is awesome. The surgery was costly and recovery is a bit of a pain in the ass but it's worth it. The operation cost me over $8,000.

Here are some pre-op pictures:

Thoughts?

You'll notice in the pics that my left side has some stitches in it. That's becasue I had mastopexy on that side because they were uneven. It looks a little gruesome right now, but I'm sure it will look better in a few weeks.

My main concern is the nipple color - it's basically all brown and when Delgado took a look at is yesterday, he said that it will heal poorly and that it's not what he likes to see. Still, he said it will look like a normal nipple in about 1 month. Has anybody else had poor healing with a nipple?

I'm 25yrs and weigh 175lbs.

I definitely recommend Dr. Delgado. I've been reading on this forum for years now and it seems to me that it's better to wait until you have enough funds to get a PS with experience. I've seen some before/after pics that don't look so good and I'm quite happy with my results.

Looks great!!!!! I've never heard of a nipple color problem but most users on this forum will say give it 6-8 weeks to heal before you make and conclusions.

I just had surgery yesterday. Like you, my primary concern was the doctor's reputation (Dr Rick Silverman in Boston  http://www.ricksilverman.com/) and money was really no object.

I'm very concerned about taking my vest off for the first time as I fully expect everything to look the same as before, I suppose because I have lived this nightmare for most of my life (49 years) and can't imagine to actually be "cured". I think my case is very similar to yours https://www.gynecomastia.org/smf/index.php?topic=21960.0 so if my results are anywhere close to yours, I am going to be very happy. Congratulations.
