Yes do but get it around 2 sizes smaller then normal to get it really tight :)
The vest they supply isnt unbearable but isnt no way near as comfatable as a nike pro vest.
You will be there before you no it, Defo take a laptop and maybe some films to watch on it too as it does get boring special post op.

Good luck mate.

A week today i'll be having the surgery. Got almost everything sorted now, exchanged my money today but they had to order it in so got to collect it on tuesday before I set off for the airport. I exchanged £200 which was around 800 zlottys. I've also ordered me a compression vest off amazon (the underworks one) £22.99. I really liked the reviews on these. Will be getting a couple of those nike vests too.
The only thing I'm struggling to get hold of is a laptop, I don't own one I have a pc and the plan was to borrow one off somebody for the week but can't think of a good enough reason to give them as I really want to keep the surgery a secret. So if I can't get a laptop (without buying one) ill have to save the updates till I arrive back home but ill take lots of pics either way.

It will all be over before you no it mate.
£200 spending money will be more then enough i spent around £100 and it was all on crap mostly lol. I think it works out around 100zlotys for post op antibiotic's .e.c.t.
My girlfriend had to go to 3 diffrent travel counters to get our money lol no one stock's it.
If you want a cheap second hand laptop go on gumtree or ebay or maybe even buy a ipod touch i used my girlfriend's one abroad to connect to the web and for music e.c.t. and it was just as good as a basic laptop.

Good luck mart.

Cheers for that Jake ill look into that. I may even take my girlfriends I phone and connect to the wi-fi on that. Yeah the travel agents looked at me a bit strange when I asked for Polish zlotty lol. I thought 200 would be more than enough but best to have too much than too little.
Can't wait to get out there now.

It's finally here, i fly out tomorrow afternoon and i'm having the surgery Wednesday. Nerves have kicked in big style today for some reason, doubt i'll sleep very well tonight. Few things i'm nervous about; 1)Flying (don't like it lol), 2)being put to sleep (just don't like the feeling of it), 3)waking up from being put to sleep (feeling groggy etc). Other than that i'm feeling ok and am ready to get it done.

Unfortunately i won't be taking a laptop with me so i'll be unable to update till i arrive back in the UK on Tuesday 10th May unless i can get on the internet over there (internet cafe etc??). I'll take lots of pics though and upload them when i get back, i'll also do a detailed write up of the whole experience etc.

Speak to you next week guys when i'll be gyne free!!!!

Hi guys,

Managed to connect to the Wi-Fi at the hotel through my phone :)
Flew from Bristol to Berlin (Schonefeld) flight took about 1 hour 40 mins, arrived in Berlin at 6.20 had to wait for the transfer to arrive at 8.30 so I had myself something to eat. The minibus waits for you at terminal B parking p3 it's only a small airport you can't miss it. The minibus is very comfortable there were another 13 ppl or so in there with me, all polish. I was the last drop, the driver dropped me at my hotel (Atrium). Very nice hotel, friendly staff, nice comfy double bed, flat screen tv although the tv channels are terrible mainly all polish lol.
I arrived at the hotel at 10.45pm, took my stuff up to my room then headed out into the town to find a 24 hour chemist to get deodorant etc. Came across one pretty soon but they didn't sell that sort of stuff so I ended up having a walk around before grabbing a Mcdonalds and heading back to the hotel.
Day 2 now: woke up at 6.30 had a shower, Jeremy rang me at 8 to say he would be picking me up for bloodtest and ultrasound at 10. Just chilling now till then so will give another update before my op.

P.S. Jake I know what you mean about the women haha.

Just got back from having bloods and ultrasound done. Jeremy picked me up outside the hotel at around 10.30, running late today. He's a very nice bloke, easy to talk to and put me at ease. It was a silver Mercedes he picked me up in. We went to get the ultrasound done first, Jeremy said she is an absolute expert with ultrasound and identifying gynecomastia and that's why they use her. The building was a new build very nice and modern. She performed the ultrasound, she was very thourough and then made some markings on my chest of the size of the gyne, I must say they look huge lol. I've taken pics of the markings she made so will upload them once back in the UK. We then went to a clinic to get my bloods done, I just went straight in ahead of the que no waiting and she took my blood samples. When I had my bloods done on the NHS they struggled to find my vain and I ended up with a massive bruise on my arm. The Polish lady got it first go though and had no problems whatsoever, can hardly see the needle mark in my arm. Jeremy then dropped me back at my hotel around 12pm and told me a cab would come to collect me at 2.45pm to take me to the clinic. I went to a chemist (apteka) to get some shower gel, deodorant etc but all they had was roll ons. Been struggling to find some toiletries but I managed to find a place called schlecker, its next door to pizza hut by the milano. They sell everything so either go there or take your toiletries with you. I haven't had anything to eat as you can't eat before the bloodtest and as Jeremy was running late I couldn't have nothing to eat afterwards as you can't eat after 12pm either. So I'm absolutely starving and the lady at reception has just offered me a breakfast :(
I'm just killing time now till my op, Jeremy said ill get a good hour to have a chat with Katarzyna about everything. Quite looking forward to that. He said she has done around 250 gyne operations now and did 10 last month alone. I'm confident she will do a good job.

Something I've just remembered from yesterday, as I landed in Berlin and went through arrivals we had to show our passports as you do,they had a quick look at everybodys passports and quickly let them through, around 30seconds per person, well they kept hold of mine for around 10 mins, then another 2 men came over looking at some information on the screen?? Anyway I asked if there was a problem, they just ignored me pointing at stuff on the screen, so I asked again in a raised voice as I was getting angry now, they just looked at me and gave me my passport and let me through. Very strange, would love to know what they were looking at.

Gonna try and relax for a bit now before the op, will update tomorrow when I get back to the hotel.

The nurse got me the passcode so I could connect to the WI-FI at the clinic :D
Had the surgery :)
Taxi came for me at 2.45pm and took me to the clinic. It's a very nice, modern, up to date clinic and extremely clean. Katarzyna greeted me and took me through to a private room, she went through everything with me, told me how she would perform the op and told me about possible complications (necrosis of the nipple, bloodclots, fluid build up etc) she's easy to talk to and it's easy to see she has a tremendous understanding of gynecomastia. She covered everything and also answered all of my questions. She is very knowledgable and made me feel certain I had made the right choice with her. She went through a few forms with me, asked a lot of questions about my health, allergys, previous operations etc then I signed the consent form and she went through my blood test with me (which were perfect) and then we were ready to go. She said I seemed extremely calm. I had been very nervous allday but when I got to the clinic my nerves dissapeared, I had no butterflies or anything, strange lol.
She gave me the green paper gown to wear and showed me to my room, Jeremy arrived at this time and he collected the remaining balance of the operation off me which I paid in English cash. I then relaxed in the room for a while till Katarzyna was ready for me. Before taking me into theatre she took some pre-op photos of the front and both sides then led me into theatre. I removed my gown and lay on the operating table, the nurse hooked me up to a drip and other stuff while explaining everything to me as she went along.she then said to me "I am now going to put you to sleep", and next thing I remember I am coming round after the op. I remember trying to mumble stuff to her but I couldn't get my words out just mumbled lol. She showed me the excised gland and pointed to the fat that had been lipo'd out and I just laughed lol. I was still a bit out of it from the anaesthetic, it was actually quite a nice feeling coming round. The nurses then helped me to my room and lay me down on the bed where I slept for a while. The nurse who is looking after me speaks perfect english and is lovely. She has changed my drains and checked my blood pressure every half hour.hardly any blood filling up in the drains tbh. She also made me a nice cup of tea and did me some cheese, ham and cucmber rolls. I must say the aftercare is fantastic they really look after you can't speak highly enough of it.
Katarzyna has just been in to have a chat with me and she joked about me mumbling in theatre lol. She said both glands were 9cm by 8cm and very thick, and she lipo'd 300ml from the right side and 300ml from the left side. She said it was a big job but the results are very good. I haven't had chance to have a look yet but she said I can in the morning. She said the biggest op she did was 1kg from each side and 1200ml fat from each side, wow that is huge!
I'm just relaxing watching the football on tv now before I go to sleep.

Update tomorrow, I'm in no pain at all at the minute.
All in all a very good experience so far.

Hey Jake

Back at the hotel now. Saw Katarzyna this morning she is very happy with the results so far, hardly any bleeding, nipples are still alive she is very happy with result and so am I. My chest is soooo flat :) I got Katarzyna to take some photos on my phone so will upload them when back in the UK. The stay at the clinic was very good, the nurse who looked after me was excellent she kept bringing me water, cups of tea, chocolates and this morning she brought me a couple of yoghurts which were very nice. Katarzyna changed my dressing this morning and cleaned me up a little. She pressed down on the left hand side to massage some blood out into the drain, this made my eyes water it was quite painfull. She gave me my prescription and wrote down the instructions for taking them. She then rang me a taxi and I collected my medication from the chemist nextdoor. She also left the drains in for another night just to be sure, she switched the syringes for small bottles to collect all the blood. I can't wait to have the drains removed as they are quite sore and uncomfortable now but it's not unbearable just slightly irritating. I've got to back to the clinic tomorrow and have dressing changed and drains removed. Tonight I won't be doing much tbh just chilling in my hotel room. So far I'm extremely happy with everything and so glad I made the decision to come here for the surgery. Katarzyna said she loves what she does and she said the best part is making the patient happy and seeing the smile on their faces. It was clear to see she takes great pride in her work and loves what she does, she seemed just as happy as me with the results.
So far I haven't got a bad word to say about the experience. I know ill get swelling/scar tissue in the next few weeks but Katarzyna said just look at how flat your chest is now because that's how your chest will end up once the swelling/scar tissue subsides and not to get too disheartened if it should arise. She said full healing can take up to a year but not too worry about it. She also said she has found patients with big glands removed usually experience small scar tissue but those with small glands removed often experience scar tissue growing bigger than what their glands used to be and this is what disheartens them. I'm fully prepared for the swelling/scar tissue and the long road to recovery, I've suffered with the gyne for years so what's another years wait for a nice flat chest!
Would like to say thanks to Danny and Jake, if I hadn't been in email contact with you both I doubt I would of made the decision to come to Poland, you helped me make my mind up and both of your threads have been invaluable for me so thank you both.
I hope my thread can do the same and help people make that decision to go ahead and get the surgery done, wether it be in Poland or elsewhere.

That's it for now guys will update tomorrow when I have the drains removed.
