breastman: You had asked how the nipple incisions were and I had taken a video of myself taking off the plasters for the first time, so screen shotted some good pics of the incision site when it's still fresh.

Obviously this is just how it looks in the beginning and quickly heals up so don't worry about people noticing it.

i booked mine around beginning of February..fees jumped up by quite a bit..

i had my consultation on the 6 feb and booked my op that day and was given exactly the same price as dracksus for the hospital fees and surgery fees

can they change the prices after you have booked? because i am just about on course to pay on time. if they up it i could be in trouble

dracksus, your results look very good so far. your gyne is quite similar to mine from your pre op pics

Sparta, i'm not too sure mate but when i went for my first consultation in 2010, i was given same price as Dracksus.  the hospital fee is something Karidis's team do not have any control over so i will not be surprised if you are asked to pay what i did.

also, have you paid a deposit?  if not, have a look at my other post about professor gerard john byrne.

but i have already booked and paid my £1000 deposit. which, if i have read all the forms correctly, i would lose if i cant make the other payments by the appropiate times, which makes them being able to up the price a disgrace and surely against the law(or it certainly should be) in some way once you have arranged the price and have it in writing. i realise the hospital fees may have nothing to do with karidis but surely they must be aware of them when you book

sorry for hijacking your thread drackus but this has pissed me off a bit if true

I had to pay the increased fee as well and booked the op around the beginning of feb. zm could it be that because of our additional Lipo the fee had to be increased? If not I'll be pissed for having to pay £200 more just for booking a week or so after they put the prices up.

do you remember the exact date you booked? mines was 6th feb.when you booked were you told the hospital fee was £1600+? or have they changed it since you booked?

i know additional lipo is a bit more expensive but i thought that would come under karidis' fee, not the hospital fee

I think it was 9th of feb.. I know I paid his fees on that date but even when I went for consultation a week or so earlier I was given the increased price.

Could possibly just be due to the additional lipo. being done - more time spent in the hospital's operating theatre or something.

Anyways time for an update:

I'm no longer taking any meds. except the arnica pills and generally feel pretty much 100%. Still a little restriction to movement if I try and lift my arms up and back, but really it's a position you wouldn't need to make in most situations anyways.

Got completely used to the compression vest and feel pretty comfortable in it, and sleeping on my back is completely normal now, so I'm glad about that!

I believe the swelling is starting to kick in slightly now, although difficult to tell at this early stage - also my nipples are completely numb atm, but according to the post-op instructions letter I was given, this is completely normal and shall sort itself out in time.

Day 10

Dracksus,

Sounds like you are recovering well. Thanks for posting all the close up pics of the nipples, they are very small incisions and maybe I'm panicking too much...they are probably my biggest fear after the GA. I'm roughly six weeks away now, trying not to think about it too much so I don't get too anxious.

Please continue to keep us posted.

Great results so far mate!

Breastman- I was also worried about the scars on the nipples. I'm also 10 days post-op now and I'm not joking when I say that one of the scars is invisible and the other one is hardly noticable at all....I'm really happy about that obviously! Once you clean the dried blood off (which I did in the bath tonight) they are even less noticeable! The armpit ones are unbelievably tiny too and right in the creases so will not be seen.  ;D

Thanks guys :)

Okay, another small update. All trace of the bruising had pretty much vanished by day 14. so didn't take too long at all!
Only wearing the vest 12 hours a day now, and will continue that for another 10 days or so.
Pretty much no pain from the original surgery, now just a slight pain when stretching the arms around, presumably from the swelling or scar tissue forming.

I believe the scar tissue is starting to form, although I could be mistaking it for random areas of swelling, but either way it isn't very noticable at all yet, so fingers crossed it won't become much worse!

Thinking of hitting the gym very soon, maybe even work out my arms today - but won't be doing any chest exercises for at least another 2 weeks.

So at the moment I'm still very happy and have no complaints at all!

Here's some pics I took today:

Day 17

As I'm assuming things aren't going to be changing too much I'll slow down on the updates and keep it perhaps to month 1, month 2 etc.
But I'll still be checking these forums regularly so feel free to ask me any questions! :)

Hey guys, quick update:

Have stopped wearing the compression vest completely now. Still taking the arnica pills and will continue to do so until they run out. I'm also massaging every day which I believe helps improve how the chest looks immediately after.

I'm back to working out which feels good and today I did my first weight training session concentrating on my chest which felt fine.

There is definitely some swelling and scar tissue undernearth the skin which I concentrate on when doing the massage. Even so, this isn't at all obvious visually and I'd feel 100% confident walking around with my top off at this early stage. I'll just be keeping an eye on it to see if it gets any worse. On the second picture you can make out slight swelling/fibrous just left of the nipple.

1 Month:

Note the slight swelling/fibrous just left of the nipple.
