I CANNOT wait to get back into the gym. Was rummaging through my photobucket and saw these pics. All from May-Oct of 2011. Motivation to get back to this.

I almost did not think that was you in the old photo. Show off!

For some stupid timing, my weight has gone back up in the months leading up to the surgery. My strength and endurance is still good, but I haven been eating like crap (biggest reason for fat) and not working out every day like I used to.

I am hoping my surgery will be sufficient motivation to drop down again in weight, but got two weeks of being off exercise. But I can work on eating. This weekend I am stocking the house with healthy eats for the week I am on my ass at home.

Taking alot to not call in those pain mess.  My left nipple excision woke me up a few times with a severe piercing pain, seemed to last for maybe 90 seconds at a time. Anybody experience this?

On the train, heading to the doc to have the drains yanked out, can't wait to have these things out!  Today will also be the first time the vest comes off, since I've been home alone,  I haven't been ballsy enough to take on such a task by myself.   Hoping that everything looks good!  I honestly think that I'm more nervous today than I was on Thursday!   Will update in a bit.

Drains are out!   Quick pain, but nothing too earth shattering.   Having the tape ripped off of my hairy CHEST (not breasts!) wasn't fun, but it's over quickly, like a band-aid.  I thought about shaving my chest and stomach prior to the surgery for this reason, but I am glad I didn't, that would've itched like hell under the compression vest and would've made the weekend very irritating.

Dr. Lo said that he was very happy with how it's healing and said that the scars look great.  I was told that he lipo'd 250cc's from each side, as well as a each gland.  (Not sure what he said the metric was for the gland, ounces maybe? but that's alot.  15(ounce, some other metric) on the right side, and 16(ounce, some other metric) on the left side.

I looked down at my chest and things SEEM to look ok.  Don't want to jinx myself until I actually see them directly in the mirror tonite when I shower.  But even then, I'm going to do my best only to glance and not INSPECT for a few weeks, as more change will happen.  In the meantime, I plan to spend my lunchbreaks walking around the city for fresh air and exercise.  As well as a ridiculously healthy diet, comprised of mostly fruits, veggies, and vitamins.   Dr. Lo said that I can start wearing Under Armor whenever I want, but I feel that getting a size Medium (I'm a large) over my head might be rather difficult; at least while the scars are still healing.

Again, I don't want to be too giddy, but I do feel cautiously excited.

Can't wait to shower!

Good stuff.  Keep in mind - we think about lipo in terms of volume (100cc's, 250cc's, 500cc's, etc) However, when dealing with lipo, the amount is not the most important factor - contouring is.  Your doc should do his best to take out fat to help shape your chest as you need some fat there. I think it's better to emphasize the contouring and how you want to look after surgery in all positions - relaxed, flexed, arms up, etc., rather than the pure volume of how much gets sucked out.

Just a follow up to a previous post of yours:

"I kind of have the opposite concern with my doc. He started talking lipo from the first words. I looked at him and said - "ya I know I got extra fat on me (I am a middle aged tall big guy) and thats great with the lipo, but what about the breast tissue removal?" The doctor then talked about using a cutting cannula "as needed". I said to him don't make the assumption that this is all fat, because I know it is not.

Based on your experience I am going to restate my concern (tissue removal) forcefully again when he starts drawing on me next Tuesday morning.  Also I think my doctor agreed somewhere to revision surgery if needed, I would only need to pay anesthesiologist. Will check paper work."

Dr. Lo also said the same thing to me, that he'd start the lipo FIRST and then 'go from there' - which threw me off, as removing the breast gland was first and foremost on my mind.  Make sure you restate that you want the gland out, it would truly suck if you went through it all just to have fat removed but not the gland!  So make sure you forcefully state your concerns, but I'm pretty sure that he knows what you're looking for.   What time is your appointment and where is it being done?

Showtime620, thanks.

Corssfit, sorry for stepping on your thread

I have to be at the office at 11:30am. Procedures (I am having two) begin at 12:30pm.  It is being done in a northern suburb outside of Chicago, by Dr. Bloch.

Thanks for letting me know your guy started with lipo and was focused on that. Besides the email is sent, I will work on a list of questions tonight to bring with me.

If I know Crossfit as well as I think I know Crossfit, he won't mind that we're stepping on his thread!  It makes our conversations easier to keep track of.

Cool, man.  I'm excited for you.  It's gonna be great.  Shoot us an update - on Crossfit's thread! - when you're in post-op if you're feeling bored!  I'll be looking forward to reading it around 5:00pm EST tomorrow afternoon!  :-)

Whats up guys, just got home from my snowboarding trip. Had a blast.

Glad to see everyone is doing good! -- My right nip crease seems to be almost out, but still looks a lil sucked in basically at the incision. My left is gonna take some more time for sure. I really think  losing some bodyfat and getting in the gym is gonna do wonders. I go back Thursday for my 3 week check up, I am gonna ask about the fat on the upper portion and see whats up on the slight indentations. --Regardless, I look TEN times better in a shirt. I am a fatty right now, so truly cannot wait to get back in the gym!

GreatLakes, looks like today is your big day! I hope everything goes well bro, gonna be huge for you.

Also, I WANT you guys to post here, this is not just my thread; I like it to be a spot for all of us that went through, or are going through this about the same time a place to conjugate :)

Showtime, how'd it look when you showered?

Nice, man. Did you feel any restrictions with your chest?

greatlakes big day is tomorrow, Tuesday the 27th, at 12.30. (Chicago time), So by about 5.00pm our time, he should updating in post-op.  I'm pumped to see how it goes!

Took my first shower!  Probably the longest shower product my life. I wanted to sign on here and ask about the sterile strips, but didn't want to wait for a response, I will email my doctor tmrw as well,  but sterile strips on the nip incisions - leave them on in the shower? He gave me gauze and tape, but no sterile strips, which I didn't think about until I was in the shower., o I showered around them.

Due to the sterile strips that I didn't take off, I didn't get a good look at the incisions, but the chest itself looks decent. Def a WEIRD feeling to not look down and see pointy titties.  standing straight and unflexed, I look pretty even. When flexing, the right left looks a bit more concaved than the left side, but im not really upset.  He said there is still swelling and other changes that will happen, So I'm looking forward to see If it changes. But even still,  If it stays how it is right now, I'll be content.

Any idea how to pull up pics onto the thread from my phone?

Yo Greatlakes. Wake up, man! It's your big day!!  You'll be all done in 8 hours!   Get ready for the drains!  :-)

The only bad thing about having a procedure at noon is that you can't eat all day, but it's a small price to pay.

Please kick any nerves and paranoia out the window and jump in head first, you're gonna be thrilled.   I look forward to healing with you!

Prayers and well wishes are being sent your way, bro.
