Just got home! Drains are OUT!! doc loved the way im healing etc..

My chest is definitely flat! I'm reserving extreme judgement as it has only been 4-5 days but as of now looks like I have a little indentation on the lower part of my nipple. Doc says that the stitches are sucking it a biit, plus the compression vest makes it look funky. So basically, as long as my nipples return to a decnt shape and contour I will be extremely happy.

Scheduled to go back thurs to make sure isn't any fluid in there. It's SUCH a relief to get those drains out!!

that's a job well done!! It looks like despite any swelling that may arise, the results're still gonna look great. I am in Seattle and will  be getting my surgery done by Dr.Phil Haeck. My gyne's a little worse than your's was and my left is slightly bigger. So i was told that I MAY have to come in for revisionary surgery 6 months later, if the results are not great. can't wait for this to get done with! Where're you located & which surgeon did you choose?

Looking very good! Thank you for posting pics. You must be happy with those results. This quickly after surgery your results look very natural - not too flat, good proportion for the rest of your body.

Thanks guys! I tried a white t shirt on this morning that i'd never wear w/o a sweat shirt and man...SO awesome!

As of now my ONLY concern is the slight crater look I have at the bottom of my nipples. Doc didn't bat an eye, said once the stitches go, and through time they will be fine. Even IF they were slightly indented it's 100000x better than what I was dealing with pre-op. Also, my chest will puff out a bit (upper chest) once I get back in the gym and get some blood flowing to my muscles. Excited to see how it all plays out.

Sounds like you've got yourself a new lease on life!  That's awesome, I'm happy for you!  Like the doc says, I wouldn't worry too much about the small stuff right now, it will all work itself out in time.  Enjoy that white t-shirt!
Shakenbake baby, SHAKE N BAKE!!  Ya, that just happened.

Took the vest FULLY off to hop in the shower for the first time in almost a week.. Not sure if its swelling or what, but I am a little sad. Above my left nip, where it was really bad pre-op, it looks puffy (on a smaller scale than pre op), when I press I feel hardness down there like he missed that spot. Also, I found out yesterday that he did excision only. He said lipo is basically to help with the contour and he would have done if he felt that it needed it, but he didn't think it did. Feeling a little down about the indentations as well, they look pretty damn inverted at the bottom of my nipples. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I know it's tough, but try not to get too discouraged yet.  You'll see a TON of changes over the next few weeks.  Some good, some not so good.  As you heal, you'll swell like crazy in some spots, and not others.  Then it will all switch around again!  I had a huge lump on my left side pretty well immediately after surgery.  It looked pretty bad, but there was nothing I could do but wait it out, and hope for the best.  I'm over 2 months out now, and it has reduced quite a bit since just after the surgery.  It's not gone completely, but is much less noticeable now.  I had to massage the hard lumps quite firmly, but eventually they softened up and shrunk almost completely away.  The indentation you have may be more pronounced because of the swelling around the area.  Once the swelling subsides a bit, you will hopefully notice a better contour.  I hope for your sake that you won't need a revision since he didn't do lipo along with the excision.  But, he's a professional, and hopefully he made the right call.  Time will tell, but try not to dwell on it too much in the meantime.  It will drive you more insane that the man boobs did before surgery!  Once you get the o.k to start massaging, do it RELIGIOUSLY.  It will help.

Good advice man. I took a couple more looks last night and I may be over analyzing a tad. The dent is there, but it may not look so bad with time, especially after I get back in the gym. -- You are definitely right about driving you more insane than pre-op lol. I have a follow up appointment tomorrow where I will address some of the issues and we will just have to wait and see..

Thanks again.

I think I figured it out. Since he didn't do the lipo, there is still a decent amount of fat on the top portion of my chest. On my left pec, in the outter quadrant up towards my armpit I had a lot of big nasty fat deposits/gland whatever. It was hard under there, and it extended down to push out the top of my nipple making it kinda point down. Well it seems that's still in there, it's puffy my nipple out a big (not to mention looks fatty up there) and compared to the lower portion of my nipple where he removed gland it stands out way more.

I am little upset he didn't do lipo as I was under the impression he was going to do both. I go back tomorrow and i'll see what he says. Hopefully he honors his work.

Just checkin back in.

I showed my Pops (and wife has obviously seen) my chest and he thought it looked great. He, too has gyne and has dealt with it his whole life. He is jealous at my results and thinks the sterile strips are indeed whats causes my minor indentation. He also said I would be splitting hairs and thinks I am overlooking it if indeed I think I have a crater deformity. This was very reassuring. Without a doubt, from  my point of view up top, the dimples are way more pronounced. He also thinks after I drop 10-20lbs like I have planned, the 'fattyness' I am complaining of (that wasn't lipo'd) will go away. Regardless, he and my Wife shoot me straight and think my chest looks good. My Wife is actually leaning more towards it being TOO flat lol. I have weight trained my whole life and always had big pecs; well that's what people viewed them as, but the nipple portion was always sloppy and droopy. I am not stressin' the 'flatness' as I know a few gym sessions will get some blood flow to my pec muscles and it will probably instantly look better in that regard.

I have my follow up appointment today (already 1 week post op!!!). I am going to ask about the knots of fat I can feel in the upper-outter quadrants, and also see when I can get in the gym. I am anticipating 3-4 weeks.

Also, because I only had excision do you guys think the swelling will be less? As of right now I dont think I am swollen at all? However, this could too be why I think its fatty, when in fact its swollen?

I think without having lipo, you would definitely swell less than if you had it done.  The lipo is pretty aggressive, and does cause alot of swelling, at least it did on me!  I agree with you too about the weight loss making your chest look better afterwards.  I would like to lose a good 40lbs, and definitely feel this would help the overall appearance quite a bit.  I've been doing some push ups over the last couple of weeks, and notice once I'm done 2 or 3 sets, my chest looks pretty good!  It's all pumped, and looks much more full and natural.  Guess I'd better keep at it too LOL!
