[scar tissue] Question for Dr. Jacobs

well i got surgery in march and developed scar tissue under the nipple, it feels like glandular tissue. I talked to two different surgeons and asked about kenalog. both times i was told that it was used for outside scaring. for instance around the nipple if it was thick fro the incision or like a cut with a visibly bad scar. so is kenalog out of the question for me? do you use it for scar tissue under the nipple?

Scar tissue is scar tissue, wherever it may be -- on the surface or underneath.

Yes, I do use kenalog under the nipple -- always.  And it really works.

Thanks for the response Dr. Jacobs. I am going to find a surgeon who is more familiar with kenalog and gynecomastia, so I can get the injections done. I wish you were based in California!

would you happen to know any doctors in California that you would recommend for kenalog?

So sorry, but I really don't know anyone (personally) in California who uses Kenalog as I do.  But I am sure there are surgeons who do -- just ask around.
