Question about areola repigmentation

Hi guys, I underwent gynecomastia surgery approx 18 months ago, there is still some scarring visible underneath the areola, i was just wondering if repigmentation of the areola and/or camouflaging of the scar was possible in order to correct the scars?

if not what is my best option?

could a doctor please suggest the best possible treatment, whether it be scar revision or repigmentation.

At 18 months out I would not expect much change. The options are 1) leave things as they are or 2) revise some or all of the scars. Several small z plasties may often be effective in individuals with suboptimal scars.

From the photos, it looks like you have some post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which refers to the darkening of the skin around the scars.  The actual scars look reasonable, and to my eye, it's the excessive pigmentation that looks bad.  You might ask your surgeon for a prescription for hydroquinone, which may help the darkened areas to fade a little.  It's a place to start with low risk.
