I think you can see an improvement in the right nipple for sure when comparing 3 month to 4 month shot!!!

Have to wait and see what 5 months brings I suppose!

This is the first heat wave I'll be able to enjoy for 30-odd years, so lets hope it lasts!! - no more hiding in heavy shirts with chest pockets... Might even throw some away in celebration and replace with some decent quality t-shirts  ;D

Not much to report this week... think there is slight improvement in the right-hand nip. Will be taking some more photos at 5 months to compare as progress is so slow now I'm not sure if it is real or imagined half the time!

It is great to be able to go out and about in a plain white t-shirt though - a simple pleasure that most guys take for granted, but to us lot is a major milestone in life!

You're right mate, others just take for granted when they can pull on any t-shirt without having to try and conceal your chest.

I guarantee I won't take it for granted!!! Was out at a social occasion yesterday and felt brilliant not having to hide it. Nice flat chest under a tight fitting shirt! Have to admit though I kept checking half expecting to see the dreaded moobs when I looked in mirror/windows etc. but always pleasantly surprised!!!

Enjoy it mate!!!!

Had a bit of a small achievement today on the recovery road to "normality"  ;D

Was in a bit of a hurry to get out, so threw on t-shirt and shorts and jumped in car...

It was about 15 mins later when sitting at traffic lights that I suddenly realised it was the first time I'd been out of the house in over 25 years without checking out how my chest looked!

To anyone else but you guys, that would sound like a rather pathetic excuse for an achievement... but I'm sure we can all understand it is quite an achievement!

I had an achievement too 1 month post OP today, I took a shirtless snapchat to make my story to showcase my horrific burn from falling asleep in the sun and I didn't even think twice about posting it!

Hey Donut,

Congrats on your continuing recovery.

Just wanted to ask, you mentioned on another thread you wore a compression t-shirt under the vest which made things a lot more comfortable. Which compression t-shirt did you buy/wear?

Thanks

Got mine from firm51 (dot) co (dot) uk  - white c-neck compression undershirt... I'd got it a while before surgery to wear under t-shirt to flatten the moobs - worked a treat! - VERY tight, but was perfect to control upper-chest/underarm swelling after surgery

Awesome, thanks for that, although does seem a bit pricey at £50. Seems you got good use out of it, considering you used it pre-surgery. Wondering whether it would be worth the investment for me as my surgery is only couple of weeks away.

Did you wear this from day 1? Did you double check with Mr Levick whether this was ok?

Thanks again

After surgery you're in the binder wrap thing, you then switch to vest (got mine from Macom Medical) after a week... It was a few days into vest that it got really bad with swelling and the vest straps digging in to it and making it worse that I decided to try my compression T underneath, and it worked a treat!

Mr Levicks opinion is you cannot have too much compression or for too long, so the more the better!

Consider you're investing over £4k in happiness for the rest of your life... What's another £50? Another £1 per year?? - give yourself the best possible chance of getting best possible result - that's my advice!!

Ah k. Good point, just that I am really struggling with money at present.

A couple of people have mentioned getting two vests instead of one (I think for convienience when it comes to washing etc) which could come to a similar price to one vest + one compression t-shirt. Which combination would you say would be better?

Also I already have a few vests from amazon, they're called "Underworks Mens Microfiber Compression Tank" do you think these would do the same job as your t-shirt?
