Hey everyone, it's been ages since I have been on here. Testament to the fact that the gynecomastia has not really been on my mind post-operation.

I am just about 8 weeks post-op.

I seem to be recovering quite well. I still have a bit of residual swelling by the looks of things and I still have numbness around the nipple areas and to the outer sides of the pectorals. Overall though I am happy with the result and I think it will get better as the swelling resides completely.

I feel pretty mobile as well. In fact I will be playing some football shortly. I have been back into the gym but have not been doing chest exercises other than push ups though I think I can get started on it now when I have time.

I will have to get some pictures up here soon so you can see things.

Hey all,

Wow, lots of surgeries have happened in a short space of time. Nice to see so many people doing so well.

Just a quick update...

I have made further progress with healing, though I still have mild swelling in the chest and I think I have a bit of scar tissue on the left side of the chest (this is the left side of the picture, taken in a mirror). I will probably see Dr Levick about this at some point in the future if things don't improve.

Overall, I am happy with the results. I can wear t shirts without nipples poking through which is great! It has helped with confidence overall I feel and it will be nice to have permanent results with the tissue gone.

I am attaching a photo which I took today. Not the best, but it gives a sense of my chest and how it has become flat. I probably need to get some better photos done, if people are interested in seeing them...

Also, I have 2 design veronique vests which I no longer need. They are the number 640 (recommended) hooked compression vests and cost about £125 in total with shipping from Eurosurgical (Surrey), but would be happy to give them to someone cheap if you want to PM me. They are clean and in great condition because they were only worn for about 2 weeks. I have size medium and large.

Cheers

Hey Jamie, looking great!

Did you keep up with the massage? I'm at that stage now at just over 3 weeks post-op with loads of lumps and bumps! - how long was it before most of your lumps and bumps went?

Be great to see some more photos, show it off now you've got it!

Thanks Donut!

I was massaging at about 3 weeks. I think I was a bit too tender to start before that! I massaged about every day for two weeks. After that I just did it occasionally. I am not sure if it has helped or not...

I am currently trying to deal with what I think is scar tissue on my left side. It is kind of a hard lump that moves, but is kind of 'stuck' to the pectoral above the nipple. I doubt it is gland left over given that Dr Levick rarley leaves this behind! I am going to see how it improves. I am still only about 4 months post-op so recovery is ongoing. However, I do feel this is something which may not shift and I may see Levick in a month or two to get his opinion. I am happy with the results still, but I would be happier without this lumpy issue on the left side. The right side is great though I think, seems well healed and just a bit numb to the touch, but overall good!

You are looking good yourself. I will have to get some better pictures up here you're right.

Yeh, with me I'm very happy with left side, but right side not so clever - had more that side to start with, then the seroma issue (which was easily sorted) and now there is definitely more hard swelling that side. Hopefully will all even out in time, may just be lagging behind "sticking back together" due to the seroma thing.

Look forward to seeing some 4 month pics!
