Normally your nipples may be numb after surgery but this is normally temporary. The sensation in your nipples should come back.

Looks like mine's the opposite. My nipples have never been more sensitive than the last 5 wees since I had the surgery. Before surgery my nipples weren't sensitive and there was definitely some glands(30s grams was removed each side).

To OP, I don't think there's any way of knowing untill you actually have the surgery, it looks like it's different for everyone.

It is normal for the skin of the chest and the nipples to lose or have diminished sensation TEMPORARILY after surgery.  Restoration of sensation takes months and is extremely variable.

After thousands of gynecomastia operations, I have never had any patient who totally lost all nipple sensation.

I lost all sensation after surgery, which returned partially after about 5 months, and now, at about 9 months, is back to what it used to be. Healing simply takes time!
