I know most people who get gyne during puberty have it go away. What happens when it goes away? Does it feel softer or what?

Recently my gyne has gotten more centralized (i dont know if that is the right word).. for the first time I can almost grip the entire gland with my finger tips.. that is, seperate it from the regular breast fat. Before I could just feel it when I pressed. I have started to work out some more.. i dont know if this has anything to do with it. Any information, especcially on what happens when gyne goes away on its own would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have been working out and I also feel that it is becoming more centralised now... maybe this is because of a loss of body fat? I don't like it in any case, makes me feel like it is getting worse.

I lift and am on a very healthy diet, and doing somewhat of a bulk i guess. well, don't know if it would be considered a bulking phase, but i upped my calories some. I am also using Andractim, but havn't had any changes yet. At time i think mine is worse also. This is due to 1 of 2(or both) things...
-you are losing body fat, which is ableing you to feel the gland since there is no fat around it.
-your pectoral muscles are getting larger, tighter, and harder which is pushing the gland out further since the gland is on top of the muscle.
~both..as you gain more muscle mass your muscles burn more calories, and you are losing body fat and gaining muscle. i think you guys get the picture.

yep this confirms what i thought. the loss in fat means I can now feel my gland a lot easier, before it was dispersed amongst the fat in internodular lumps, but now it has come together a lot more as I have a lot less fat.

Also my pectoral and other upper body muscles are now more well formed, causing the gland to be pushed into a more compact space, hence it sticks out more.

I don't really know what to do now. Maybe I should stop training my upper body and concentrate on my arms (biceps triceps and forearms). And maybe do a little less cardio... dunno really.

My advice: keep working out, eat healthy and see your doctor.  There are no crystal balls and guarantees about whether it will get better, worse or not change.  You don't have to like it, but I think you can accept it given that it can go away one day, maybe on its own or maybe thru surgery.

this is all very informative, and no offense, but no one has answered the first question.. what happens to your gyne when it dissapears on its own?

I'm not really positive and it's something i always wanted to know for sure, but from what i understand...when your hormones are out of whack (ie puberty, drugs, testicular cancer, etc.) the receptors in the breast are stimulated and causes breast growth. now it can be just temporary, because the glands are still active they can be reversed by your hormones being level again. from what i'v read, after you've had gynecomastia for a certain amount of time the glands are no longer active and even with normal hormones it won't be a fix, and the only option is to get it excised.
somebody correct me if i'm wrong.

Sorry, what I really want to know is how do you know it IS going away. The only ways I can tell if there are changes is through feeling, both with my hands and just the way my chest feels, and through looking at the gyne. So out of those 3 things what can I expect if in fact my gyne is going  away? Thanks.

When it feels soft under the nipple may be you dont need surgery.

Again, thanks for the response, but this still doesnt answer my question. I want to know what it feels like when it is going away. I know about donut and everything else. I dont mean to sound like an not a nice person, but your post wasnt really that helpful.

if someones gyne had disappeared why would they be using the gyne board?

anyway. i think i read somewhere on the board from a person using flax seed or andractim or something that the donut shape starts to feel more broken up and spreads out. then again, i have never felt the donut shape people talk about, just spread out lumps and i still have noticable breasts.
