Hi all. Firstly, thanks for  the forum. It offers a lot of peace of mind reading similar cases.

Has anyone had micro lipo done? I'm very thin and toned but have pointy nipples. I have a little amount of breast gland, but it's quite contoured and helps my pecs look a little bigger. It's the small pockets of fat behind my areolas that bother me, and I believe I just need it suctioning out. If anything, I believe it is actually a little excess skin from when I was larger which may also need reducing.

I know everyone says gland has to be cut out, but the likes of Ravi also says that if you can be satisfied with a 50% reduction, you will be happy without extensive recovery times and pain.

Most often, thin guys with pointy (puffy) nipples have gland, not fat, beneath the areolas -- and this almost always requires surgical excision -- not lipo.

In cases similar to yours, I will sometimes use a lipo cannula -- without suction -- simply to loosen the skin surrounding the areola and then remove the gland with an incision around the edge of the areola.  Once the tissues are removed and the surrounding skin is surgically loosened, the nipples should lie flat and flush with the surrounding chest skin -- permanently.

Best to consult with a gyne specialist in your area.

Good luck!

Cheers for the reply!  Here's a picture if it helps.

I have quite a mild case.  I realise that I have a small amount of gland (mainly on my right side) but quite honestly, it's fairly flat in shape and not a golf ball like some.  It helps my chest appear to be a bit more muscular.  It's extremely soft above the gland and under my nipple, and definitely either empty space from my weight loss, or fat.  I was hoping to just get some minor microlipo to just help take that small triangular tip away.  I'm perfectly fine with having larger looking pecs as I plan to build myself up a little anyway, especially my shoulder/deltoid area.

It is apparent that you have not been examined by a surgeon.  You are fooling yourself -- there is much more tissue there than you think.  It's kind of like an iceberg -- much more under the surface than there is above the water line.  However, it is your choice.  If you think that just a tiny bit of lipo will help, well good luck to you.

Most guys like a taut, chiseled chest -- and that won't be the case for you with just a tiny bit of lipo.  Self diagnosis is dangerous -- get the opinion of an expert.
