Are You Surprised at the Size of Your Breasts?

Yeah when I last seen a dr in 2019 it was the E2 that gave me issues. My labs came back pretty bad with that. It took 3 dr visits to find it  as it’s apparently not a general part of lab work at least to the drs I went to. Dr who checked it gave some natural ways to encourage t increase in diets and workouts to help before entertaining replacement and it seemed to work and why I am so adamant on working out. While other issues have resolved since then and I give credit to the tips and tricks from that dr that growth hasn’t stopped completely so taking good with the bad here. Glad it’s helped ya low t can tear things up mentally emotionally and physically if not checked.

This site is mentioned as the best and most realistic when it comes to sizing. For me personally, she threw out the size 85 D. And that's why I'm interested in whether anyone has a realized situation regarding the size given to them and the purchase of a bra.

My size is 38C/D and the system recommends for me 38E/FF (I slightly modified measurement results, so that is why E or FF).
The circumference of the bra was calculated correctly, this is exactly what I feel best in, but the cup size is too big.
I used to try other calculators and it was the same: the cup size was too big.

I had the same adjustment to make. The resulting bra measurement is only a starting point. The calculator has me as a 36DD/DDD....but after a couple of try-ons, I've found that I'm a 36D.

The circumference are a male body's chest includes the rib cage which is normally more "V" shaped than a female's (which is straight up to the shoulder), so you as a male bodied person are not really measuring only breast tissue. Hope that makes sense.

I had relative success (not ever garment fits the same) with the band and hand measurement. I do not have a full feminine bust, so the bust measurement doesn't work too hot in most typical methods I've seen. Band and hand method: use typical standing band measurement (level with the ground, exhale, yada yada, use the guides for relational sizing: exhale measurement for me is 36" and most sites say that's a 38" band), then use your hands for cup size (half lemon, A; half orange, B; half grapefruit, C; half melon, D). 38B seems to fit the best for me, half oranges.

I fully expect this not to work for everyone, but thought I'd share. I got this method from HerRoom's Fitting Room, which has a lingerie for men section found here.

Thank you for your answers.  By the way, my size is B-C, but I'm not a D.  For now Otherwise, it is difficult for women to choose the right size.  I assume that it's not all about the measurement, but also about the shape, volume... Women also have surrounding tissue under the armpits, not just men.

I love the fact they have a section devoted to men who wear lingerie.  It is quite a trip reading reviews from men about their brassiere choices.  Clearly, it is not only men contending with gynecomastia who are intrigued about brassieres.  There are crossdressers and transwomen commenting about their choices.  They are interested in comfort, of course, but they also have an eye for aesthetics and the erotic element of showing off their breasts.  I would never have guessed when I put on my neighbor's bustier while babysitting for her daughter as a twelve year old much confused about why he was doing what he was doing... that this would be the world in which I live as a mature man.  I didn't have fully formed breasts then but I LOVED the feeling of a brassiere on my slender young body.  My body is not that slender but I now have breasts that enjoy feeling soft brassiere cups holding them.  I guess we would call that acceptance... maybe more...

It is a bit ironic how many had a run with exploring a bra in some way or fashion. Stumbling upon one and going I wonder.....never when I look back at when I stole a few bras from my girlfriend in my 20s, curious how it felt....that I'd be wearing the same size bra today for the same reasons. Kinda like the universe was like oh you wanted to see what it felt like well here let me help ya out lol

If we consider that breast growth is not in one day from nil to cup C or D but gradually then nobody should be surprised. I was not surprised since I needed some years from nil to cup C. And if the growth shall continue, no problem at all. All I need are new bras and all-in-ones.

Great attitude John.  As someone who loves brassieres, the prospect of shopping for more is hardly a problem.  This thread really focuses on the size of our breasts.  Even with gradual development it can come as a surprise how large they have become.  We're men right?  We're not supposed to have breasts, but here they are.

A friend asked me this morning how I'm doing and I had to admit my fixation on brassieres and breasts at the moment.  I guess you could say it has all slipped into fetish territory.  He is one of two gay friends, both of whom know about my journey.  I'm a rather vanilla heterosexual so all of this is a bit bizarre for me.  They have had much more adventurous lives sexually and have no judgment about my journey with brassieres.  I read about men here for whom this has become a simple fact of life... no big deal.  I appreciate that, but it is not exactly where I find myself.  Surprise about having substantial breasts that fill 42C brassiere cups continues to surprise and to a certain extent mesmerize me.  Perhaps I'm just an outlier here.  But I am working with self-acceptance for both the fact of having these breasts and how I'm responding to them.

As 42C stated we tend to evolve mentally as our bodies do also.  The last few months have brought some noticeable changes for me.  On both fronts.  I have had to replace my top drawer as growth has happened.  My dislike of years of unevenness has has found me to be bigger and more balanced now.  Thus the need for new bras.  Along with that my desire and appreciation of finer ones has been welcome.  Some I wouldn't wear out but am amazed at how I fill them and brings me comfort and a sense of calm within.  All things said, I like me.

Very true. It is odd to me still but I don’t question it how the more full I’ve gotten the cups follow suit and fuller they’ve gotten the more flush my profile seems to be in a bra. The other day at work I was just sitting there for a moment and looked down for whatever reason and noticed how my shirt was filled different than before. Just fuller and noticed the same at home in the morning when reading and drinking coffee before prepping for work braless and noticing the insides have definitely filled in more. A year ago I feel I’d been wtf but this time I felt kind of proud. Maybe when warmer weather hits and we go on vacation I’ll feel different lol but at the moment I like the reflection
