It's amazing what you can find when you spend some time just looking around. Over the past few years I have discovered many different brand names which I had never heard of before. Some from overseas, I have acted on and bought their products, such as Naturana, although from a local store. I have also bought from Marks and Spencer, a UK department store which sells its own brand.

Today I discovered a European brand called Dorian. Not to be confused with the world-famous Triumph Doreen bra, lol! I'm not even sure what led me down that path, but one particular style really caught my eye and I'm considering buying one. For a small-cupper like me, I think it would be very comfortable, but I'm not sure how supportive it would be for someone better endowed. What I like about it are the seamless unpadded cups and the strap adjusters at the front which should make it invisible under clothing - unless you're wearing a white t-shirt, lol! They call it a bralette, but it is constructed as a bra. It agree that it is flimsy compared to a 'proper' bra, but for someone who just wants to prevent a minor amount of jiggling and chafing, what do you think? (scroll through all the pics)

It looks nice and it is adjustable but I  would be concerned that it could stretch and get baggy with wear  as it appears to be made of only polyester and cotton.  I had something similar from Tesco and it was OK but now I need a more structured supportive bra. You can find very decent bras at very low prices in Peacocks and other discount shops depending on your size.

That looks like a great bra offering good support and structure. 3 part cups are always a sign of a proper bra and they provide a lovely shape.

Looks excellent, I like nice clean bra styles. Looks like it would stay in place with the U back.
If the bra fits, wear it.

Yes, it stays in place. The straps are on the inside a little like terry cloth and don't glide. My Dorina D 1007 is in 38 C. My left breast is a little smaller in the upper cup, but the right one has an excellent fit. The bra has 3x3 rows of hooks and eyes in the back, which I like also.

There is one problem. This style is discontinued and there are only some very few sizes left and only in beige.

That bra looks good on you and does a good job containing the armpit tissue. Interesting but I was told that normally your left breast is the larger one and that's certainly true for me so far.

Thank you. Yes, it seems that normally the right breast is smaller in right-handed persons. I am astonished too.

My left breast is slightly larger than my right but my right breast hangs lower than my left.

The girls at Torrid were all discussing this and it seems at varies greatly. Even amongst four of us there that day the dominant hand having the smallest breasts was only three out of four. That isn't a very large control group though.

@gotgyne, do you find that your Dorina bra runs true to size, particularly in the band? Or is it tighter or looser than expected?

My standard size is 40B but the cups are usually too big. It is hard to find 40A bras in a style that I like; I did buy one not too long ago in a different style but its cups were even bigger than a normal B cup! More recently I did purchase a wire free 38B bra from a department store which fits quite well because it is naturally stretchy. I'm hoping the Dorian bra I linked at the top of this thread will also be like that.

Evolver, in my case a band size below 40 is regularly too narrow for me. Thus all of my bras are size 40 with cups from A to C. There are so much differences with the sizes of the cups itself, that sometimes a 40A is too large in the cup, whereas a 40C suits perfectly. Interestingly enough my Dorina on the pic is the only exception. It's size 38C and the band is not too narrow, which indicates that this model is stretchy. It has some amount of elastane (spandex) also.

But the bra in your pic contains 71 % polyester and 29 % cotton. I don't know how stretchy this mixture of fibers is, but I would guess less stretchy than those with spandex. And the more spandex, the more stretchy.

Can you try on this model in different band sizes and send the one back which doesn't fit? This would be best.

Thank you gotgyne. That was a good observation about the material that the bra is made of and how stretchy it is or isn't. I think I will go ahead and get a 38B and use an extender if I need to.

Looks like the bra I was wanting is made out of unobtainium. 😕

I had made up my mind to buy one in 40B, due to several reviews that said that it ran small. There is one store that is selling them for $24AU, but they want another $48 for delivery! The bra is unavailable from other retailers despite continuing to advertise them, or they don't deliver here, and even if I went along the Amazon or eBay route, they are not available in my chosen size.

Oh well.

I found this brand on Amazon few years ago. I got got their t-shirt style underwire bras and is one of my favorite bras.
