The Triumph Doreen is my favourite bra. I just love the retro style and it gives amazing support and lift, all without an underwire.  The bra frame is very stretchy and it  hugs the chest in the most reassuring way but is nver tight or uncomfortable.  Everything stays in place all day long. I never need to adjust things.  The pointy cups of the Doreen X  may not be too everyone's taste and it  is conspicuous under a tight sweater but so what?  Everyone who wears a bra should have one in their drawer.  The pointy cups are a challenge for me to fill but I love mine and it will last a lifetime

Many, many years ago, I considered myself to be a bit of a crossdresser. A kinky guy who liked to wear bras and other things, very occasionally. There was a level of excitement attached to it all. This was before I realized that other things were going on. Again, years ago, I bought a couple of pairs of breast forms. The first ones were high quality triangle shaped forms with a concave back to allow for natural flesh, to suit D Cup bras in my band size. The other set were lower in quality but still decent enough, to suit my white Doreen 42G bra which I bought exclusively for fun at the same time.

That bra is built like a brick outhouse! It holds those heavy forms easily. So easily in fact that it is easy enough to forget that they are there, apart from what is seen in peripheral vision.

I don't play those games anymore. The fetish aspect is long gone. But I still have my Doreen, stowed in an archive box in my wardrobe. It is pointless (pardon the pun) trying to get one in my real size; it's not actually possible and it's not the day-to-day look I'm after anyway. Maybe I will bust (pun intended!) my old one out again one day, for old times' sake!

They really are indestructible and the band has a lovely firm hug but never tight as it is so stretchy.  I am lucky in that I  NEARLY Fit the smallest cup  in my band size as I  have a narrow chest.

My wife prefers wire free bras, and she actually has a couple of them in her rotation that used to be mine (to hold the smaller forms), lol! Her size is 40D. Interestingly, her standard bra is also a Triumph, but not a Doreen - she doesn't like 'scratchy' surfaces. This is what she often wears; not sure if there is an equivalent over your way:

That does look nice.  Yes the Doreen is not the softest bra but there is a luxury satin version available in the UK.  The other main Triumph bras we have are the Claudette and lots of variants of the Amourette. Triumph do make good bras.

The Doreen has long fascinated me.

I am  44 C/D depending on manufacturer. I do like the ‘hug’ from the garments I have and especially since switching to an underwire.
The support from that is amazing compared to sports bras I have worn in the past.

My imagination tells me I would enjoy this bra.

Haven’t gone there due to the ‘pointy’  cups and the fact that my wife would not approve of that for me in public spaces. In the future I would like to get one for those days when there is no need to be out and about, finances allowing. One can dream though.

I will have to get the sizing chart to see if there are any proper cup sizes for my large band size. If so it’ll only fuel desire.
Regards, Bob

AlafQ, this bra looks excellent. I like the color.

The Triumph Doreen bra is also my favourite bra for two decades. At age 45 I bought my first Doreen on the advice of the saleslady of my orthopedic supplier. Meanwhile I own half a dozen Doreens in size 40C in several colors (white, skin, bluegreen).

But there is one problem. The straps are a little short. I'm not very tall, thus they are long enough for me, but tall people might get problems.

A bra is just an article of clothing for people with breasts.

Yes the shoulder straps are a bit short but that's all  There's a Doreen delicate  version available with less pointy cups and strap adjusters on the back too. The cups are also 2 section instead of 3.

My blue one was half price in the sale.  I would to have the long line version but I  don't think it's available in my size.     I bet your 40C looks amazing.

One thing I forgot to mention about my wife's Triumph bras. Some of them would be well over 5 years old and they are still going strong! We all know about that tipping point where a bra suddenly seems too far gone and deserves to be thrown out. Not her Triumphs! They just keep on performing as they should. They do tend to discolor over time, but they are definitely a quality item.

It looks similar to yours. I even wear t-shirts with the Doreen. Even at the supermarket with this outfit nobody cared.

In fact the cups of the Doreen are very pointy, it's a classic retro style, but not as much as the bullet bras of the 1950s.

But this model shows how pointy the cups can be:

That's a wonderful photo and demonstrates just how much lift and support can be achieved without an underwire.  It must feel amazing to wear with breasts like that.  A few years ago I tried a Doreen and it swallowed my then tiny breasts but now it's lovely to almost fill the cups and justify wearing one.

Is that a women's top? I like the cut. It looks good on you.

I think it looks great.  I for one would love to wear that.  There again all bras shape for a reason and that would be worn for a specific time and purpose.   Very nice.

I've posted this link before, and I do so again so that y'all can appreciate the 'point' of Triumph Doreen bras (pausing the video at the right time yields excellent results 😉).
