  • When life gives you curves, Flaunt them! 🤗
Over a year ago I started a drastic diet changes and weight loss journey. I have lost over 100 pounds and 8" off my band size. Today I was noticing my 46 F bra is fitting loose and had to go to the third set of hooks (it's fairly new so it's not stretched).

What is your health journey like?

Was doing well. Until the MEN syndrome kicked in. Lost all of my flexibility lost strength stopped losing weight. Then an auto immune condition kicked in and made living and moving painful. It’s called PMR, polymyalgia rheumatica. The prednisone has kicked my butt, ruined my skin and caused weight gain. Tapering down is going slow. I’ve managed to stop the weight gain, but it is very difficult to stay on track until this drug is gone. Hanging tough & remaining positive, hoping you’re doing well too.

I retired almost 17 months ago and have sometimes found it to be a challenging time to remain in good physical shape. Losing that naturally physical component of my life (it was a blue-collar job) has been replaced by a more sedentary lifestyle, but not totally. I sometimes lack motivation to exercise, but when I am switched on, I really go for it. Riding a bike again after 40 years has been terrific! I have also maintained my mostly healthy diet, but I don't eat as much fruit as I used to. Still average one serving per day though. And I continue to love my vegetables. Also, I actually drink alcohol less often now despite not needing to be bright eyed and bushy tailed for 6am starts! The result is that my weight is identical to my working days, presently at 92kg. So, I'm a bit overweight for a person of average height. I blew out to 96kg after a vacation in September but I did get down to 89kg earlier in the year.

Ideally, I'd like to get into the low to mid 80's and stay there. I know it's possible. Just gotta motivate myself to get there, but I'm enjoying life exactly as it is at the moment.

I'll have to wear a heart monitor for 5 weeks because I've been having spikes in my pulse rate up into the 170s that last only about a few minutes. They need to monitor while it happens. Quite possibly SVT because my sister has that as well

I hope that all is OK.will you still be able to wear a bra during this time?. I had a tetnus shot today and my bra straps were rather more visible than I expected.  Nothing was said and indeed nothing needed to be said.  Breasts should be supported with a bra.

Bra is okay, showers are out.
I will resort to sponge bathing until I'm done. No direct flow of water at the device area or hot steamy baths.
I'll just fill my sink and wipe down well.

  • Nothing is impossible, merely expensive.
I hope the doctors figure out your heart rate issue quickly.

The SVT is no fun.
I had it during the Pheochromocytoma period of the MEN syndrome. Cardiac output drops off after about 180 to 200 BPM. Concomitant BP was 220-230 with a diastolic of 120-130 while on a potent dose of reserpine( a last ditch old timey drug) that made me feel like mud.

Birdie, I sympathize with you on that diagnosis it’s a rough one , take care and take it easy in those episodes.

Looking at your bra pics I completely understand that you need a bra. Every physician and the staff should understand it too.
A bra is just an article of clothing for people with breasts.
