A bra is just an article of clothing for people with breasts.

I find it great that more people are noticing a need for men to be wearing a bra and trying to provide resources. In the long run this provides incremental steps to normalize the need of many men to consider wearing a bra.

In a perfect world, more school student councilors and gym instructors should be made aware that students can develop breasts and need a sensitive and constructive support system and guidance. This may even include the school nurse to sit down and discuss options such as a bra to the student and parents. This would help "break the ice" on a sensitive topic that most just try to ignore. It is awkward to address these things but likely helpful in the long run.
If the bra fits, wear it.

Blad, I second this 100 per cent. There exists already an excellent solution for boys and men with breasts, called bra. It must become normal, at least in the long run. If somebody by all means only wants surgery then so be it. But it is much better in my opinion trying a well fitted bra at first. It is even possible that the wish for surgery vanishes, if a boy or man notices how comfortable a well fitted bra is and how much support it provides.

I have to add that it was refreshing to hear someone in the business speak out so candidly, open and supportive of men with their needs.

Her presentation was very unbiased and indicated that there was a lot of inquiries. Sort of; that it is not uncommon for men to develop breasts and here are some straight forward solutions that woman use for their breasts...bras.

I am finding that's becoming more the norm. Fitters are willing to fit men and are becoming knowledgeable about gynecomastia. For some it's just the extra money men bring in but to a growing group, it's the desire to actually help and some have gone public, depending on their customer base. Most women still would rather not be in a fitting room next door to a man being fitted.

I reached out to Sheri thanking her for her thoughtful, helpful and normalizing video. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a wonderful reply. She is very much Team Gynecomastia and while mastectomy is her specialty, she serves all who are in need of chest help. She's very open and accepting. A very nice lady. She's in the Toronto, Canada area (Etobicoke, ON) if we have anyone in that area as well as on line orders. I think she's deserving of a look if you are so inclined.

And thank you gotgyne for sharing!

Excellent.  She even pointed out that mens' breasts tend to be full on the bottom but not so much on the top.  This is precisely why I can't wear bras with molded cups, which is pretty much all there is in larger band sizes.  I was in a Torrid store and didn't see anything but molded cups.

I am currently wearing soft cup 42B underwires and I can wear some of my wife's 42Cs.  According to her, I should probably be in a 44B.  What she did not touch on was that, once you get past a 40 band, smaller cups are non existent, simply because women with large chests tend to have large breasts and there is no market for them, except for us.  I have a Bali Lace Desire in a 42B, but they only come in black because they don't expect to sell a lot of them.  Ideally, I should probably be in a 44B but I don't think anybody makes them in a soft cup.  I am going to try an extender and see if everything stays in place.  If somebody wants to get into the men's market, we need larger bands with smaller cups.  I am a little overweight, but I am not what anybody would consider a large man.

I agree with you and I think that such information should be more visible and more people should become aware of our problem and that we need a bra or any kind of support for our breasts. And that this is not something that should be pointed at us with a finger, most people do not know that such a problem even exists in some men. Just like people who cannot see need glasses or people who cannot walk need crutches, so we men with breasts need support. But according to me, society should become aware that such a condition exists in men and that there is another solution besides surgery and then maybe we will be more accepted by society that there are men who need a bra or other kind of support.
