I finally got my insurance to cover annual mammograms without fighting with them.

Heading in this morning for my appointment.

Update: "you can put your shirt and bra back on ma'am."
Mammogram is done waiting to see if they need an ultrasound.

Tech was female, the doctor reading the images was male.
This year went a lot better than last year as they got me right in.

Last year they made me wait for 5 hours in the lobby until they could get two technicians in the room at the same time because the first technician was afraid to be in the room alone with me.

Your experience me thinks was a deeply held position they did not want to deal with.  Deeply unfortunate in deed.

but this time around you have had it made (in the general sense.)  So good for you.

At least you got in both times.
I have been denied despite the fact the NCCN Guidelines state I should be examined yearly.

The pharmacy also refused to fill a prescription ordered by the doc. The reason was the pharmacist had a crisis of consciousness which is allowed in WA state.

Like you, Birdie, the answer is to leave this small town and the state. Hope you have good news soon.
Regards, Bob
