Hey guys,

I just found this site about 2 weeks ago and have read through much of the discussions.

I am almost certain that my problem is mainly gland behind the areola, because the main thing i don't like abuot my chest is how my areolas/nipples are puffy and stick out.   Having said that, and I know this topic has been brought up before, but do you think it is even worth calling for a consultation with Dr. Lista?  I am likely gonna go ahead and book one with Dr. Fielding, but I only ask for Lista because the popular belief about Lista's PAL method is that it is not effective with glandular tissue.  Although I must say that if it were, I would be very drawn towards him as I really do not want to end up with scars around the areola that are clearly visible.

Any thoughts or comments??

Thanks to all for being on here and helping out.

i just booked an appointment with dr kreidstein regarding the exact same problem.  All he'll do is remove the gland behind the aeriola, u'll just get a general anethetic, so u'll be awake for the surg  ;D.

he says u should wait 2 weeks after surg before u get active again (eg. any kind of physical work that may cause strain in the chest area) and 5 weeks til ull see the end results... right after surg there should be a signicant differance, but it will swell the day after, but after 2 weeks it should be looking much better

i have my surgery set for july 19 and itll cost $1000, and hell do any touch ups or whatever for free if ur not satisfied with it

good luck, dr kreidstein is in Toronto at york mills and bay view

Aren't you getting lipo? Is it just exision of the gland(breast tissue )for you?

from what I understand, PAL is just fancy lipo, so PAL alone wouldnt suck out the gland. Lista combines lipo with excision - he uses this fancy little cutting scissors thing that slides in from the lateral incision. It's really misinformation when people say he doesnt excise glandular tissue. He told me in the consult he does, and he clearly did during my surgery.

the difference is that he doesnt see what he is excising - he feels it, because he goes in through an incision on the side of the chest - thats how he avoids the peri-aureolar incision. If that makes you uncomfortable, then look into Fielding - but Lista cut out everything successfully on me, and he's experienced with it. I just have some small bits of scar tissue under one side that need to clear up. but i know its scar tissue beacuse it only appeared about a week following surgery.
