How long do I have to wait after surgery so that I can start working out my pectoralis and other parts of my body?

  • Wilma, grab the lotion, we're going to the beach!
I was back to work that afternoon (I'm usually sitting at a desk).

Walking the next day.

Lifting within 4 weeks.

I started working out about 2 weeks after. Though, it was very light workouts for about 2 weeks. I'd say I was going heavy on lifting by week 4. But you will find that you can do certain exercises pretty soon after surgery while others may be sore to do. The hardest exercise for me to do wasn't chest. It was back and doing lat pulldowns.

  • GYNO IS A BIATCH!
I was 2 weeks after surgery... though I only had lipo done....

To be 100% sure I would wait 4 weeks... you don't want to cause more trauma to the chest area!
