I've felt some weird thing being my nipple, not gland as I imagined it but kind of a skinny and long protrusion. I read about gland fingers. Anyone know anything about this? What is the shape of gland usually? I thought it was just a disc.

The anatomy of gynecomastia can take many shapes.  There may be a small disk under the nipple, fingers of gland may extend through fingers of fat.  There may be a massive growth of gland.  

You can see actual glands removed from my patients if you take the time to browse the many pages of my website.  However, the glands sitting on the chest are like jelly fish out of water.  They assume a condensed blob like shape.
