Well that was special and quite quick. I came there about 9:00 and was home at 13:00. When i woke up i felt just a little pain in my chest but i had gotten some painkillers injected into me after surgery.

It was strange when i was put to sleep, the only unpleasent thing was when they stuck the needle into my arm. Then she injected me with a sedetive...and i started seeing the lights moving.
Then she was going to inject me with some anaesthesia, when i looked at the needle it was a large one filled to the brink with whiteish substance, how is she gonna get all of that into me i thought. Then i was looking around the room...and BAM! I wake up next to a window and a nurse asks me how i am.

I've been taking parkodan and i don't feel any pain, the only thing i feel is the tightness of the compression west. I thought the pain would be a lot more, after reading from these boards. Like being hit by a car, but i feel very little.

I just had a little sneak peak down through the compression west and well the doctor said it would look like it had gotten worse at first. I saw a some dried blood as well on my side and iodine on my arms and chest. I am in no pain...  ???

I didn't like what i saw when i looked down...
I hope to god that it will get better!!

Good luck dude!

I'm sure you have nothing to worry about at this stage.  By all accounts, you'll have to wait a few weeks or even months before all swelling subsides to get an accurate picture of your results...

Drains are tubes that they put in your chest to drain the fluid.

Vanatu, I had mine on the 8th and I'm also pretty scared about the results right now. Doesn't look like anything's changed at all!

Hopefully it will get better :0)

is it common to have only lipo and no exision? is there a chance that it will come back if the gland is not removed? thanks

Larry, there is a possibility that it will come back if not removed. Also, if you haven't had the surgery yet, go to an Endocrinologist and make sure there's not something wrong with your testosterone/hormone/HCG levels. If it's a hormone imbalance, they will come back.

Hi vanuta. RELAX lol. I had surgery on the 30th of last month. I posted a not to different post thn yourself. I was shocked, as soon as surgery was done i looked down and my chest was exactly the same. It was like that for ages and started to ask myself did the doc even take out any fat or what. But the last couple of days my chest has been looking great. Theres a noticible improvement say 75% and im expecting more. Its way to early yet. Ive always read people say it takes months to heal. Its only when you have surgery you tend to foget this advice and think what the hell, theres no difference. Its way to early yet. You'll see in a few more days or weeks you'll notice improvements. Let the waiting commence.

How bad were you?  It seems like the more mild the case is, the longer it takes to notice results.  Most of the cases that I would rate 6 or worse on a 10 point scale seem to have more instant results. I can't imageine that I would swell to the same size and shape I am at right now. (I was toldby the doctor that I was a 6) Does anyone else see it the same way?

asmallmeasureofpeace, keep us posted with your results... I'm interested to see how long the healing process takes.
