still sounds like swelling.
a sure fire way to tell if you have swelling is to stand in front of a fan heater and if your chest feels achy you have swelling there.

Even though I'm over 8 weeks, would keeping the vest on help to reduce the swelling, or will it just happen naturally?

When i spoke to the clinic, they said that up until 2 months, then the vest has to be kept on, after 2 months, you can either wear it day or night.
