Actually the face itself is quite close. The glasses and the longer hair really throw things off. Either way, I had longer hair prior to that picture being taken but has just cut it off.
Of course I wasn't wearing makeup back then either.
Rendering really isn't that far off without glasses, without haircut, and with makeup. Of course that horrible smile with my bad teeth I could have done without.

Revenge of the nerds! lol 😁

I know you'll take that in good humor.

I won't scan and post it, but I remember a school photo of my 13-year-old self that could well have confused people. I also remember being misgendered on one occasion back then too (had forgotten about that for nearly 50 years, until just now).

I'm not really that interested in what AI suggests I might look like in another 20 years based on a contemporary photo, because extrapolating from a single data point is just plain silly. But using a historical photo to see how near or far your contemporary looks are compared to what AI thinks you should have looked like, yeah, I can see the fun in it, but for me, that's all it would be. I'll refrain, thankyouverymuch.

Had a long talk with my intrusive neighbour this afternoon explaining to him that “setting everyone straight” about my gender wasn’t appreciated in the least.
Also, I am intersex so I don’t fit neatly in either of the two genders.
He didn’t listen in the least saying, “there only exists two genders and everything else is a “leftist lie” just ask the President. He got quite upset saying “hermaphrodites don’t exist” and are make believe. All lies and he won’t put up with freaks like me in Texas. He won’t allow me to pull the wool over neighbours eyes and will expose me every chance he gets.
Like talking to a wall. 🙄

This is modern education at its finest.
He is correct in saying, "just ask the President."

AI Overview:

"The Trump administration's official position on intersex people, as defined by a January 2025 executive order, is that there are only two sexes, male and female. This order rejects the existence of intersex people and defines "sex" as a biological classification based on reproductive cells at conception, excluding those who do not fit into the binary male/female categories. This policy has been criticized as harmful and erasing the existence of intersex individuals.

Elaboration:

Executive Order:

President Trump's executive order, titled "Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government," explicitly states that the federal government will only recognize two sexes: male and female.

Definition of Sex:

The order defines "sex" as an individual's biological classification as either male or female at conception, based on the type of reproductive cells produced.

Impact on Intersex People:

This definition excludes intersex people, who are born with reproductive or chromosomal variations that do not fit into the traditional male or female categories.

Criticism:

Critics argue that this policy harms intersex individuals by denying their existence and impacting their ability to get or update official documents like passports.

Lack of Recognition:

The order does not acknowledge the existence of intersex people as a distinct category, leading to concerns about erasure and marginalization."

It seems in our modern times we are less likely to understand intersex than we were 3,000 years ago. In Jewish literature the sages knew very much about it and talked about it extensively. Jewish law was codified around it. It was also talked about in many other cultures.

Unfortunately the Puritans and their lasting influence on religion and government have taken those advances and the understanding of intersex conditions and completely eliminated them. Along those lines, conditions like gynecomastia and many other were also swept under the rug or turned into circus attractions as well.
We are not that many centuries removed from the Salem witch trials, and unfortunately there are many people that would love to have them back.

Whew, downsizing and boxing items preparing to move to Oregon. I don't have a move-in date as I am still waiting for a phone call, but this time I will be ready to jump on it if and when they call again.

I missed the last one because I wasn't ready right away.

Bailing out on WA state

Been packing & prepping to go to Tennessee. It’s a lot of work, Birdie but it’ll be easier at 75 than 85.

Out legislature has gone hog wild with 12.5 billion in new taxes on top of the already retirement eating rates we have now. Gettin’ Gone while the gittin’ is good.
Good luck.

the trope IMO is again a product of modern education.   To grasp this you have to deep dive into the history of rote education and other aspects that was started int he US primarily by Horace Mann (google this guy) and youll see why i say what i say.  Even the Catholic Church in the middle ages recognized intersexed.

This is 100 % education ONLY..    The fallout is vast though.

Criticism:

"While Mann's approach was intended to be inclusive and non-denominational, it was also criticized by some, particularly those from the Roman Catholic Church, who argued that it promoted a general Protestant perspective."

That's the same thing that transpires at the medical day-centre I attend. They promote their music revivals and devotionals as being non-denominational however they are not. They are very much Fundamentalist driven. They have it take it or leave it approach, and to leave it means to disenroll from the program. The catholics, the Jehovah witnesses, the mormons, and the Jews are not happy with the program at all but we have no voice in the matter.

That "better than thou" attitude was what drove the Puritans out of England and towards America. It has since influenced American politics, education, and religion extensively. It sounds like Horace Mann was at the Forefront of that influence into the Department of Education as well.

Mann was born in the late 1790's.   He went to Prussia and watched the influence of the Hussan hierarchy run the show.  He brought the concept to MA in the 1800's.   From there it was mostly the movement from one state to another and territories to create an education system that was focused on WASP.   The real reason why I focus on this particular aspect is that the WASP template despite all the BS, is still infused into our system.      It is from there that nearly every obtuse argument originates.

Interesting indeed, and one way or the other a very narrow minded educational system developed. Broader knowledge that didn't fit the agenda was quickly removed and forgotten.
Advances made thousands of years ago about human variations fell into educational Oblivion and became taboo subjects.
Intersex, gynecomastia, etc...
Even families felt shame about talking about such subjects.

My brother that I haven't spoken With in over a decade contacted me. We ended up speaking up about intersex and breasts tissue growth. He stated, "I would have surgery to have them removed and try to blend in best I could, it's a self image problem."
He is still stuck in 'having to please the masses' mentality where I have advanced to simply pleasing myself.
We both think the other one is crazy.

We have wrongly forced “sexual others” into a male/female binary system. Society has done this. Religions have done this. And yet the Bible itself celebrates sexual others (e.g. Eunuchs) as possessing God’s image and becoming full participants in God’s kingdom—without being forced to identify as male or female.

I should try out to be a stand up comedian at the memory centre....

I could do a two hours show off the same three jokes....

The guy on the front row would say, "I haven't heard that one in years" and I would reply, "you've heard it a dozen times in the last hour, but who's counting."
