Take drains out myself?

Is it OK to take drains out myself?  It's like a tube under the skin.  Kind of itches.

It's day 4 post OP.  They're not really secreting anything, so I don't think it would do any harm.  I'd still wear the vest.

My PS is kind of hard to reach.  Guess he's already got the money, huh?

Not unless you are a doctor or nurse would I reccomend you removing the drains. If they are bothering you so much that you are willing to remove them yourself, call your PS and let him know you are willing to do that. When he gets that message he or someone from his office will respond. If, still no response, then go to the emergency room at a hospital and have them remove them. Way better than you doing it youself and way more sterile.
