Welp, did the pre-op today. Got my blood work done, and filled my prescriptions.

It seemed like the office was crazy busy; looked like the doc had just finished up a surgery and there were a few other women coming and going. Felt a bit rushed, and to top everything off the lady that was going over everything with me is new lol. Everything got handled, just felt a little rushed on the vest fitting. She came in with an XL, leaves the room so I can try it on, then came back in like 10 seconds later while the damn thing is half way on me.. So I kind of stutter and am like Uh, I think this one will be a bit big (even though I didn't get it fully on). I am fumbling it all around trying to hide my damn chest when she says, "oh hunny, its on backwards". GREAT so I have to FULLY remove the damn thing in front of her, I honestly kind of panicked and was like just do the LARGE and grabbed my shirt. Lol GOD I CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT TO BE OVER! The irony was pretty funny, but when all said and done I sure hope its the right size.

Doc came in REAL briefly and asked if I had any last minute questions. I just asked how long i'd have the drains. He said normally 3 days, or whenever there isn't much of any drainage anymore. I explained the concern about work and he said that since my surgery is on Thursday, I could either A) Go back for a checkup on Monday AM and have them removed or B) Goto work Monday as long as I am not doing ANYTHING strenuous, then go have them removed after work. I am gonna plan on just missing Monday for now, and I'll see how I feel.

2 weeks from RIGHT NOW I will be sitting here feeling like a whole new man, can't wait!

Way to go.

My prep is March 13. So thats what they do huh? They have a gal prefit the compression vest? Thanks for that warning. I have trouble fitting into clothes (kind of odd proportions in upper body) so that should be interesting. Maybe I will wear a tight black tank (wife beater) for that day so I don't have to go full frontal with the gal.

You mentioned about not seeing before and afters that look like your body type. I tried Google image search for gyno - lots of pictures - but I had a hard time finding anyone that looked like me now (before). So it is hard to guess what after will be. I will see if I have the courage this summer to post before and after of myself.

Can't wait to hear how it goes for you.

From what Ive gather, it's not always a women. Again, the office seemed like it was in a whirlwind today, somewhat unorganized. As the doc left he made the comment that his 'tech' would be in to get me sized for the vest, but when the lady came back in she told me that I was good to go. Honestly, if I wasn't such a nervous mess I would have just asked for the tech to size me. This is, of course the reason we are all here. If there was any hesitation or doubt, it's definitely gone now. I am just SO tired of feeling like that when my shirt goes off.

Dude, you gotta do it. NOBODY here judges, we are all cursed with the moobs to one degree or another. It will make you feel good when people compliment how good you look when it's all done too.

Definitely excited man..Like you, still semi worried about the outcome, but definitely excited.

Hang in there guys!  This is the hardest part, and you're almost there.  Well, hardest part is debatable.....depends on how soon your PS wants you to begin massaging afterwards!  ::)
Shakenbake baby, SHAKE N BAKE!!  Ya, that just happened.

I am interested to hear how it goes for you. I am a bit scared about not getting full GA - but I am told not to worry with the whole twilight cocktail. Still go to sleep and then wake up.

I was wrapping up some weight lifting the other day including some major bench presses and dips. I was pumped, accept for the chest of course. As I was flexing in mirror - I could see clearly the pecs flexing - moving independently underneath the moobs. Man it would be something to see those pecs all by themselves. I am trying to to get too optimistic about the results in 4 weeks, but God help me, I want those damn things off my body already. Once I decided to have the surgery I have REALLY been getting irritated (no mad) at those things. That anger is helping me get past the anxiety of the surgery.

Guys,

My 13 year old son had the surgery in December and he did awesome!  I was so scared to let him have the General Anesthesia.  I was more scared of it than anything.  All I can say is it was totally unfounded.  He did great and did not get sick from the anesthesia or no complications.  The drains removal was the worst part for my son.  Not the actual drains but the removal.  My suggestion is a pain pill before you go and look away.  My son looks, as shaknbake put it, "Freakin Fantastic".  You guys will do great and it will be over and you will be amazed at how smooth things went.  Good Luck!!!!

She's not kidding you guys, you should see the results her son got from surgery.  I've never seen such a dramatic improvement on anyone before...ever!  Fortunately for me, I didn't have drains, but for you guys that do, it may be worth following Dassugan's advice!

All kinds of second guessing (even though there is 0 chance i'd bail because ive forked out all the $$$), and scary thoughts flowing through my mind. I am already anticipating my BP to be high when I get there bc all the nerves...God I can't wait for this to be over!!!!!

I remember exactly how you feel right now...exciting, and scary all at the same time!  Hang in there, you've almost gotten to that pot "o" gold at the end of the rainbow.  It will be over before you know it!

You can do it crossfit99 ! I am rooting for you.  Focus on a point beyond the surgery, how your life will be without those things around anymore.
