About 2-3 weeks in, maybe bit earlier, you will feel your chest tighten up and feel a bit of scare tissue lumps etc. Seemed to peak at about 3 weeks for me.

Get plenty of rest, compression, healthy food and pineapple down you mate and take things easy.

How long have you gotta wear the plasters over nips for dude ?

Is eating healthy really important after op? To help the results?

Well of course it is, you're body's just been through a traumatizing and physically damaging process, and hence you need to give it all the right nutrients it requires to successfully repair and recover.

Weighed myself this morning, have gained an insane amount of weight over the last 4 weeks, pretty depressing but hey ho, going to start eating clean again today, need to start shifting this!

Would it be good advice to go on a diet after the surgery, or is that not advisable? Nothing drastic, but I just mean sticking to salads, lean meat and that kind of thing.

LOL I gained loads in the couple weeks before and few weeks after, swear the anasthetic made my belly stick out shed loads to. Feels good to be eating healthy again and exercising.

Eating healthy is always important, but its not something I've noticed that has been stressed after the operation. But thanks for the reply.

Well it's day 5 post-op. Maybe a little more yellow bruising but nothing much, I think it may also be a tad more swollen too. No discomfort anymore really, movement seems fine etc! Been eating a pinapple a day to try and help with recovery.  :P Got to work all this weekend which should be interesting, hopefully I'll be fine, just going to avoid lifting anything ! I emailed Nicola at Karidis's office yesterday about the amounts that were removed as I forgot to ask on the day and she said she'd email me them once he passes my discharge report onto her which should be in the next couple of days, so I'll be sure to post up that when I find out - be interesting to see how much it was and whether that correlates to why recovery seems to be so smooth..

Couple of t-shirts I ordered online arrived today, one was just a plain rolled sleeve t and the other was a deep v-neck t, one white and one a light creamish colour, the sort of crap I'd NEVER have worn in a million years. Whipped off the compression garment to try and them on, well chuffed!! Looks like I might actually be wearing t-shirts this summer!  ;D Can't wait til I don't have to wear this garment in the day anymore! + I imagine they'll look even better when the swelling and everything subsides, even better!  :)

That certainly put a smile on my face, what a feeling.  ;D

Man what a feeling that must be. The simple pleasures in life. ;D Are the compression vest long sleeve by any chance?

Nope sleeveless which is good for temperatures sakes ha. Think I'm going to be having a few beers later on tonight, I'm meant to be going out, I think I'm going to wear my underworks compression top which I used to wear to hide my chest, as I don't really want to go out in this garment on the off chance anyone notices it! Should be alright for an evening I'd imagine? I hope  :P

Both Karidis and Levick stress it in their post op instructions.

Well I'm 7 days post-op today! Went out last night, in my compression t-shirt (not the post-op vest) and had a fair bit to drink, chest looks fine today, no extra swelling etc, bruising is almost all gone now, only had the tiniest bit of yellow bruising and that was it, nothing compared to what most people get! Not sure about swelling, imagine it's still a bit swolen but we'll see. Also went out this evening in my compression t-shirt again (not drinking) and chest looks fine now. Overall, healing seems to be going brilliant. Been fine at work this weekend, no discomfort at all, no pain, movement is fine. Took the plasters off the nipples for pictures earlier and going to leave them off from now and try and let the incisions full heal up, get some air to them etc. Chest still looks great in the t-shirts  ;D Still early days, fair bit of healing to do so I imagine it'll only improve in time and balance out etc, there's still a bit of an indent especially when I flex my pecs on the right hand side above the nipple which you can see in the pictures but not noticable in a top so doesn't really bother me anyway. Areolas still appear to be smaller, looks as if they're going to stay that way which is great! Overall very happy at this stage with how it's all going. Desperately need to crack on with dieting again, may start cardio again in the next couple of days, will leave weights atleast another week or two. Anyway I took a few pics earlier this evening which are below.  :)

Looking good mate !!
Love the countdown to removing the compression vest, they're a pain in the arse aren't they but you get used to them. I'm 4 weeks post op and still wearing mine all night and some of the day  ;D
